Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What was the name of the diner that Jerry, George, Elaine, and Kramer frequented most often during the series?

Answer: Monk's

The inside of Monk's was a Hollywood filming set, but the exterior was that of an actual New York City diner near Columbia University called "Tom's Restaurant." Writer Larry David said he came up with the name "Monks" from a poster of the jazz pianist Thelonious Monk that was hanging in the office they were writing in at the time.
2. What was the name of what would become known as the "Bizarro Diner?"

Answer: Reggie's

There are a few episodes where one or more of the "Seinfeld" gang eat at Reggie's. During the "Bizzaro" episode Elaine's new friends ate there, George is forced to eat there a couple of times as well.
3. One of Elaine's favorite dishes is the Big Salad at Monk's.

Answer: True

"The Big Salad" makes its appearance in several episodes. George and a girlfriend actually break up because his girlfriend takes credit for buying Elaine a Big Salad. Reggie's doesn't have a Big Salad.
4. What causes Kramer to vomit on George's new girlfriend, Susan Ross, the first time she is introduced to him?

Answer: Rancid milk

Kramer's habit of helping himself to Jerry's food backfires on this brilliantly executed bit of physical comedy from Michael Richards. The incident requires that the guys get her vest dry cleaned.
5. During the "Soup Nazi" episode, what soup does Jerry share with Elaine that causes her to have to sit down because it's so good.

Answer: Crab bisque

Elaine doesn't follow the procedures in the soup line and is scolded by the Soup Nazi ("No soup for you!") She later exacts her revenge by obtaining his soup recipes.
6. There were several episodes where Kramer was seen drinking juice boxes on the show.

Answer: True

Kramer's eccentric character introduced several childhood favorites to the show. Drinking a small, juice box drink is among them.
7. Where does Kenny Bania want Jerry to take him for dinner after giving him a "free" Armani suit?

Answer: Mendy's

One of the most annoying characters in "Seinfeld's" history is comedian Kenny Bania. Kenny gives Jerry a brand new Armani suit and does not want anything for it. He simply asks that Jerry buys him a meal sometime; a simple request that seems to take forever to fulfill. Kenny wants Jerry to take him to Mendy's. Jerry ultimately gives in, remember the Bania line? "Get the swordfish, Jerry.

It's the best swordfish in the city. The best, Jerry. The best."
8. In an episode called "The Blood," George develops a food fetish while in bed with his girlfriend. What type of meat does he ultimately connect with sex later in the show?

Answer: Pastrami

George begins to crave food in bed after his girlfriend lights a stick of vanilla incense. This progresses to his eating a pastrami on rye with mustard while in bed with her. He eventually meets a friend of Elaine's who shares George's appreciation for pastrami as "the most sensual of all the salted, cured meats."
9. In "The Dinner Party" episode, Jerry, George, Elaine, and Kramer are invited to a dinner party and stop at a bakery to get something to take to the party. What do they end up taking as a compromise to their original choice of a chocolate babka?

Answer: Cinnamon babka

Elaine is disappointed because she feels that the cinnamon babka is not as desirable as the chocolate. Jerry defends the selection of the cinnamon babka after the last chocolate babka has been sold: "I beg your pardon? Cinnamon takes a back seat to no babka. People love cinnamon.

It should be on tables in restaurants along with salt and pepper. Anytime anyone says, 'Oh This is so good. What's in it?' The answer invariably comes back, "Cinnamon. Cinnamon. Again and again. Lesser babka - I think not."
10. Who said "I don't want a movie hot dog, I want a Papaya King hot dog," and proceeds to leave the theater line to get one in the "Seinfeld" episode titled "The Movie?"

Answer: Kramer

Papaya King is a juice bar turned hot dog restaurant in New York City. Hot dogs make several appearances on "Seinfeld."
