Buck Henry played the part of the angelic escort trying to save Rams quarterback Joe Pendleton from a painful death in the 1978 movie "Heaven Can Wait". James Mason also starred as Mr. Jordan. Warren Beatty was Joe in a cast that included Julie Christie, Jack Warden, Charles Grodin, and Dyan Cannon. Henry's most recognized work was probably the television series "Get Smart", in which he shared the writing and creator credits with Mel Brooks. He has screenplay writing credits for several well known movies including "The Graduate" and "Catch-22", in each of which he also makes an appearance on screen.
