The agent had dealt with Sam and Dean in "Nightshifter" and "Folsom Prison Blues", and then men had the chance to make him a believer before he was killed at the end of this episode.

The town is located between Colorado Springs and Denver, and the police building IS a small building very similar to the one shown in this episode.

A possible inside joke/homage to new co-star Katie Cassidy, having Lucy on the TV screen, since she is set to play Lucy in the upcoming film "Dallas".

The Winchesters initially suspected werewolf.

Chris Hanson is a real life news reporter. On the NBC series "Dateline", Chris became notorious in his role helping to entrap potential pedophiles. The producers set up internet chats with fake youngsters, both male and female. The offenders would chat up the "children" and then come to a house setup as a sting. After the men were interviewed about their misdeeds, they'd be arrested outside of the home. So, Dean was joking about Sam visiting this teen girl who was getting calls from her dead "mother", the demon. Disclaimer: I use the term "entrap" because that is what I believe they did on the series. I also understand the reasoning behind the sting, and fully support the idea, if not the methodology. If it were just crime busters doing it, and not a TV news series, I wouldn't have been so critical. Initially the series was a huge ratings success. Later, the methods used became questionable when some badness was left in the wake.

Answer: a rosary

As they were being escorted into the jail, the men met Nancy Fitzgerald. She was the police secretary and seemed very timid, though her eyes reflected something more than that. Dean noticed her silver cross necklace and the rosary she held in hand. Later, when she came to talk to them, Sam convinced her to bring Dean a towel for his bullet wound. When she approached the bars, Sam jerked her close and took her rosary with the towel. This came in quite handy after Henricksen became possessed. Sam held Henricksen's head down in the water and chanted, and the demon finally made a quickie getaway. Victor became a believer after that experience. While possessed, he killed the sheriff Melvin Dodd.

While Janet was brushing her teeth, you could see (via cut scene) that some woman was performing a spell. Janet's teeth became loose and she pulled two out, and then coughed and spat out many more before collapsing to the floor, dead. Paul was unable to get into the bathroom until the spell was over. Sam later found a "hex bag" under her bathroom sink, which led the men to think of witches. When they got back to the car, Dean told Sam that he "hated witches". The witch, Amanda, later cursed Paul to eat maggots. There was a hex bag in the car with him while he ate. Paul had an affair with a woman, and she now wanted revenge. Robinne Fanfair and Jonathan Watton played the Duttons, and Rebecca Robbins played Amanda.

Dr. Garrison was reading Julie fairy tales, and Callie used those to inspire her murders. Her mother had poisoned her for attention, most likely as a sufferer of Munchhausen's syndrome by proxy. At the end of the episode, Sam summoned the Crossroads demon and shot her with the Colt. Sam's decided to take no prisoners in season three! And, he may be becoming a tad bit evil, as so many have hinted would happen in the first two seasons.

Ruby had first implored Sam to look into the deaths of his mother's friends. Sam was shocked to learn how many people once close to their family had died. She told Sam he was "the chosen one" and that Yellow Eyes had done something to Sam before killing Mary Winchester. Sam wanted only one answer before he let her continue on, and that was to know who she was. So, finally she showed her black eyes and called him a racist. It's too early to tell, but I wonder if she IS related to Sam in some way. She may even want to be human again, but she certainly has a stake in the outcome of Sam's existence. Katie Cassidy, Ruby, is the daughter of '70s icon David Cassidy, so I threw in the comical incorrect answer of Hasselhoff.

Answer: Envy

The men used video surveillance footage to sus out Walter, after he caused a woman in a store to attack another woman for the envy of shoes. They held him in a couple of devil's traps before allowing Tamara to exorcise the envy demon out of his body. Walter, played by Josh Daugherty, did not survive. It is unclear if Tamara helped him die, or if the exorcism killed him.

"Malleus Maleficarum" had the demon possessing the member of the coven. "Jus in Bello" had a whole town of demons attacking the jail. "Bedtime Stories" had the crossroads demon that Sam killed. "Long Distance Call" had the scavenger demon. And, "No Rest for the Wicked" had the demon Lillith and her posse.

Her spirit grew angrier over the years and in the end started to seek revenge. The Winchesters persuade her father, a doctor at a local hospital, to let her go. The girl dies and the murders stop.

After handing out the necklaces, the men pulled back their shirt to reveal a special tattoo each had on the left side of their chest. While Dean had been retrieving supplies, the rest of the group had been applying salt at all entrances and Sam had painted a devil's trap on the floor of each one. Dean got back inside the building just as a storm of demons (smoke form) attacked them. The demon inside Henricksen had warned them, before departing, that it was too late as he'd already "called them".

It was a book club alright. After Amanda's "suicide", the three remaining members gathered and Elizabeth tried to dissuade the others from continuing. She was subtly coerced back into the fold, and the trio knelt down before their "Book of Shadows" and prayed to its master. Later, when the Winchesters approached Elizabeth, they introduced themselves as detectives Bachman and Turner (as in Bachman Turner Overdrive). Erin Cahill, Marisa Ramirez, and Kristen Booth played the rest of the witch coven.

Sheila Case, the Warren brothers, and even Bela herself had all killed a family member in one way or another. Bela refused to revealed who she'd killed or why, but the Winchesters helped save her anyway. Taco Bell may cause you to feel ill if you eat it, but it will hardly cause your death. "Moulin Rouge", now that's debatable!
