1. When did Jordan Collier disappear?

Answer: April 10, 2002

Prior to being abducted, Collier was a real estate mogul, and he puts some of that money into creating The 4400 Center. This information was revealed in the first season episode "Becoming", which originally aired on 25 July, 2004.

Devon became Jordan's first guinea pig for the stolen Promicin. Then, when Isabelle challenged Dennis' lack of interest in retrieving the stolen hormone, he explained that if Jordan handed it out, he'd be doing their jobs for them. Shawn smoked on the cigar twice. The first time he saw himself killing Richard, his soon to be father-in-law. The second time Shawn went to smoke on the cigar, though, it was in perfect condition. It's a continuity mistake, as the cigar should have been burned at the tip. Claudio Borghi disappeared in 1961 and came back with the ability to make a person see one possible future. The ability came from his hands, so Borghi kept them gloved and only used the secretions on specific items, like the cigar.

The Nova group had formed to protect the future of the returnees. They claimed that was their agenda. TJ Kim, the lady who could make people do her bidding, was in the courtroom when Dennis Ryland's trial took place. She caused someone to shoot Dennis, but he lived through the attack. Sharif Atkins returned as Gary Navarro, a 4400 mind reader. Diana, Tom, and Nina thought Gary was helping them, but Gary turned out to be part of the Nova group. Sharif played Charles Gallant on "ER" until Gallant was killed in a road side bomb in the Iraqi war. We also found out that Tom's nephew Shawn, also head of Collier's 4400 center, had been funneling money into the Nova group. When Shawn realized how far Nova was willing to go, he cut the money off and lead NTAC to TJ Kim. The group had a "big event" planned in the season three opener. It was feared to be something catastrophic, but it turned out to be a field of plants growing in the Middle East, where previously only a desert had been.

After Roy Marsden's girlfriend came to Kyle and said that Roy had to agreed to plead guilty for life in prison, he decided enough was enough. He as no longer willing to allow Roy to take the fall for his murder of Jordan Collier. He told his father he was going to stay in America and confess to the murder.

Collier invites Lily and Richard Tyler to live on his estate, and even goes so far as to give Richard a job. His motivation is to control the powerful Isabelle, who, although unborn, still terribly injures Collier with a psychic attack. These events happened in the first season of the show, which ran from 11 July, 2004 to 8 August, 2004.

Answer: Maia's removal from school

After Diana and Tom found out about Devon using the Promicin, Diana went to the 4400 Center and removed Maia from class. She explained to her daughter that it was not safe for her to attend school there any longer. Maia accused Diana of not caring about what she wanted, and went back to school on her own. Or, it may have been a set-up for Isabelle. I was not entirely clear on that when it occurred.

Answer: They could create children with 4400 abilities

This syndrome was a mutation of the 11th chromosome, caused by a flawed x-ray device at Seattle Presbyterian Hospital. This mutation had not created any noticeable flaws in the people affected. What it did do was allow 4400s to create children with non-4400s that would have special abilities. So, Darren Piersahl decided to eliminate the people with the Starlz Mutation. He was one of the government's special soldiers, the ones injected with Promicin, but he had gone AWOL and murderous.

Answer: Todd

Todd Barstow was taken in August of 1995. When he returned, his parents had another child. Alana offered to take Todd into her false world, so he could get to know his younger brother. Todd declined her offer, but told her he knew what her pain was. He gave her the name of the man who had killed her husband and son right before she was taken. Carter Jenkins played Todd. Carter played an integral part in the one and only season of "Surface". He played Miles, the teenager who raised one of the man made creatures from the sea. Miles named the creature Nimrod, Nim for short. "Surface" ended in dramatic fashion, with Miles, Caitlin, Rich and Laura surviving the massive tsunami.

Answer: Tippi Hedren

Though she had aged fifty years, Lily seemed OK otherwise.. at first. Then, she began experiencing age related illness and cell death. Isabelle wanted to save her mother, and even considered suicide. Lily died in the car with Richard, after they arrived at the cabin they'd stayed in right after Isabelle was born the year before. Richard cremated Lily (off screen), and then scattered her ashes over the grave stone of her grandmother. Lily's grandmother, also Lily, was Richard's love before he was taken. The grave scene was seen in the second episode of season three. Tippi Hedren had her first big role in the 1963 Hitchcock movie "The Birds". She went on to guest star on the TV shows "The Courtship of Eddie's Father", "The Bionic Woman", "Hart to Hart", "Hotel", Dream On", and "Providence" before playing Lily on "The 4400". She was also in the 2004 film, "I Heart Huckabees".

Nate was promised, by Dennis, to go to a private and better equipped quarantine facility if he would reveal the location, where Richard and several well 4400s were hiding out. Dr. Berkoff was also taken there, on Tom and Diana's suggestion, to work on the cure for the inhibitor in safety.

The name of the school can be seen at least twice on the building. As far as I could tell from research, there is no Fairview, Washington. There are Fairviews all over the USA, but none in the state of Washington. Kenmore and Frontier are real Washington state junior high-schools, and there are actual public schools named Van Buren in Iowa, Arkansas, and Ohio.

You had to pay very close attention to catch this one. It isn't until Richard catches a ride with Eric and Stacey's friends later in the episode that you know for sure. David and Tara's license plate on the back of their SUV shows that they are in Montana. If you go to the official "4400" website it also shows Eric disappeared from Snakewater, Montana in 1955.

Gary could hear the thoughts of everyone around him. He liked it at first because he knew what the pitcher was going to throw to him in advance. Then, it became overwhelming and he could not separate all of the voices inside his head. Sharif Atkins played Gary. Sharif also starred on "ER" as Dr. Michael Gallant.

Patrick Flueger played Shawn Farrell, a young man with the ability to heal others. His ability garners plenty of good press for the Center, and Shawn even comes to run the Center after Collier's death. Confused by the turns his life has taken, Shawn comes to respect Collier's leadership.

Answer: war

When Shawn, Diana and Tom found Jordan's abandoned refuge, he'd left behind a journal. Later, back at NTAC, Marco confirmed the handwriting to be Jordan's, even though it was not visibly identical. Jordan, who presumably did not know who he was, wrote about things he'd seen. He has a tale of a wasted Earth and one city that remained after the catastrophe. Then, he has the above sentence repeated many times over. This statement is reminiscent of the mythology of "The Terminator" series. The fight to save that future, from Skynet, was also fought in the past. In both cases, the "past" is referring to our "present".

Right before Isabelle arrived at her home, we saw Jane with a houseful of animals. She was talking to them as if they could understand her, and then we see that they could! Isabelle made the animals attack Jane, or that was alluded to later. Jane was found by NTAC with her animals feeding off of her. Ulla Friis played Jane. She guest starred on "John Doe" and "Stargate SG-1" as well.

If he had a dose of pure promicin, which only Isabelle had available, he could stop this deadly inhibitor side affect. It would prevent the inhibitor from crossing any membranes in the body. All they needed was one dose to get to Shawn Ferrell. Shawn would be able to cure the rest of the ailing people.

After a quick visit to Maia and Alana, Diana escorts Tom Baldwin into Dr. Hudson's office. She immediately points the gun to his head and orders him to reveal the truth about what was making the returnees sick. Max says they never wanted to cause anyone any harm, neither illness nor death, but Diana says later that if they all died it would be a coup for the government.

Greg Venner's father Frank had been a student of of Heather Tobey's in 1972. He was extremely opposed to her presence in his son's classroom and was actively pursuing her removal. Reece Thompson gave an amazing performance as the tortured child, Greg Venner. Reece, Mylene Robic (who played Kimmy in this episode), and Ben Cotton (Dewey) all guest starred on the short lived series "Tru Calling". Reece starred in the second episode in season one and Mylene in season two's "In The Dark", where Tru gets a surprise birthday party, more than once.

He disappeared on August 5, 1955, so he could really relate to Richard's adjustment to the 21st century. Richard disappeared on May 11, 1951.

Tom was outraged when Dennis revealed that the Promicin had a 50/50 chance of killing someone within 48 hours. Dennis explained that the soldiers were all aware of the potential risks. It turned out that Isabelle's Promicin levels were too potent, much more so than Kevin's synthesized version.
