Some of the only preemptive defensive items in the game, Chris/Sheva can don the Melee and Bulletproof Vests if they shell out the money to buy them from the shop between Chapters. The Melee Vest can be bought early game for 10,000 gold and it'll halve damage taken in close combat; the Bulletproof Vest is buyable after the halfway point of the game (Chapter 4-1). The latter costs the same as the Melee Vest and halves bullet damage, but it can be worn overtop the Melee Vest. You'd think they'd get hot, what with it being West Africa. Priorities though, right?

Found throughout most chapters of the game, BSAA Emblems are silver disks that Chris can shoot to accumulate. There are thirty in total, all hidden in occasionally off-the-beaten-path spots and some of which require certain weapons (or even grenades) in order to collect. BSAA Emblems don't result in any in-game bonuses as far as ease of completion, but you can collect them to gain access to figurines and costumes that would otherwise be impossible to collect.

Wilier than most enemies, your best bet is just to be quick and deadly or else you'll be overwhelmed.

Chris only encounters it once on his adventure through Africa, coming face-to-face against it at the port at the end of Chapter 2-3. To kill it, you need to attack its Plagas (same as anything else), but you'll need to do so with some finesse as there are five that empower this creature. Killing Ndesu will allow you to proceed out to the wetlands and the next stage of the journey.
