Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. The life-threatening, potentially world-ending virus this time around is a wonderful concoction called the 'Uroboros' virus, which is an advanced version of the p ... of the pr ... what was its name again?

Answer: Progenitor virus

The 'Progenitor' virus was the first viral experiment conducted by Umbrella, and was the test for the T and G-Virus in later years. It is fairly weak compared to the likes of Uroboros and Las Plagas.
2. Chris left S.T.A.R.S. to join the BSAA. It's been bugging me for a while though, what does the 'S' in BSAA stand for?

Answer: Security

BSAA fully stands for Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance. It is used by the US government to target potential viral outbreaks.
3. As in 'Resident Evil 4', those dastardly zombies have been replaced by a new breed of infected. What are they called?

Answer: Majini

The Majini have the same characteristics as the Las Plagas in the last game. Their symptoms include increased aggression and strength.
4. The village that Sheva and Chris are investigating is the delightful Kijuju. Where in Africa is Kijuju situated?

Answer: Kijuju doesn't exist

'Resident Evil 5' was originally planned to have a real setting. However developers Capcom decided to create a fictional village because of the many racism claims over the game.
5. Players of the previous game were quite obviously distraught to say goodbye to lovable man-killer El Gigante. Don't get too depressed though, because he returns for another bout in 'Resident Evil 5'! With a beard! And a new name! Wait, what, what ... new name?! What would that be then?

Answer: Ndesu

The Ndesu was one of the easier boss battles, with players having too mount a gatling gun to bring him down. He also had a brand new tribal look, with all his victims fashioned into a belt around his waist.
6. Somehow, in the middle of fighting off hordes of malicious Majini, Sheva and Chris always find time to go on a bit of a bargain hunt. Which of these ISN'T a treasure found in the game?

Answer: Beetle (Blue)

The Beetle (Brown) and Beetle (Gold) are the beetles available. The other two treasures mentioned are scattered all over the place.
7. Near the start of your adventure, you will be required to visit your good ol' weapon's dealer for a whole loada supplies. Sadly though, he suffered a cruel fate at the hands of the Majini. Not that you care, of course. I mean, do any of you even remember the poor guy's name?

Answer: Reynard

Reynard gets decapitated in the middle of 1-1 by the Executioner Majnini. It is done in an ancient-sacrifice type manner, but not shown explicitly.
8. At three points in the game you will come across the strange black tentacle monsters known as the 'Uroboros', 'Uroboros Aheri', and 'Uroboros Mkono'. Rather different from your average Majini. But I've always wondered - if both Majini and tentacle beast are infected by Uroboros, what's the difference?

Answer: An Uroboros has been 'rejected' by the virus

Excella Gionne and Ricardo Irving are two characters to be 'rejected'. There is no explanation as to why some are chosen and some rejected.
9. Let's test a little bit of your 'Wesker' history now. Back when Chris Redfield and Albert Wesker were 'best friends for life in S.T.A.R.S.', what was Wesker's rank?

Answer: Captain

Albert Wesker founded S.T.A.R.S. in 1996 and appointed himself Captain, before betraying his Alpha Team in the Arklay Mountains, who consisted of Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine, Barry Burton, and Rebecca Chambers. He injected himself with a virus on the brink of death, which granted him his new super-human ability.
10. Wipe those tears guys, I know it's the last question, but you've got to test your brains for this one! One of the big, bad scary-boss man creature things (no, I didn't go to Oxford) in 'Resident Evil 5' is named U-8. What does that 'U' stand for?

Answer: Ultimate

Strangely enough, the 'U' doesn't stand for Uroboros, but for Ultimate. The same can probably be said of the boss U-3 in the previous game. Anyhoo, thanks for playing today, hope you enjoyed it!
