Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Majini, your typical 'zombies' of "Resident Evil 5", are infected with which of these?

Answer: Las Plagas

Bioweapons created by Umbrella, the Majini are the equivalent of the Ganados from "Resident Evil 4" and share many of the same qualities. Emboldened by enhanced anger and fortitude, these once-normal villagers are effectively mind-controlled and intended to be used as deadly forces for Umbrella's nefarious needs. Many regular Majinis will brandish handheld weapons; some are a bit more dangerous opting to wield chainsaws instead or, in some cases, ride motorcycles.

Las Plagas, first encountered by Leon S. Kennedy in Spain, reappears in the Kijuju Autonomous Region in this iteration.
2. Several variant foes will emerge from a Majini body when damaged enough. Which of these ones is named from the Swahili word for 'butterfly'?

Answer: Kipepeo

While normal Majini shouldn't be much of an issue unless they get crafty or group up, Chris and Sheva will find quite quickly that some Majini area bit more advanced as their Plagas will evolve into more terrifying beings that will only emerge in times of great distress. Kipepeo is a good example of this as this winged foe will burst forth and attack with its barbed tail. Cephalo will remain attached to the host body, emerging from the head, while Duvalia can take up the entire top half of a Majini and be capable of eating its enemies whole.
3. Adjule are infected versions of which animal?

Answer: Dog

Most "Resident Evil" games feature man's best friend as man's worst enemy, and this visit to the Kijuju Autonomous Zone is no exception to the rule. Adjule often hunt in packs and operate as the Colmillos do in "Resident Evil 4". Las Plagas will emerge from these creatures' backs and act as a weak spot, though firing at these beasts with a weapon that packs a punch will do them in either way. Wilier than most enemies, your best bet is just to be quick and deadly or else you'll be overwhelmed.
4. How many times will Popokarimu be encountered during Chris' visit to Africa?

Answer: Twice

Created by infusing a bat with the Las Plagas parasite, Popokarimu is a deadly creature that's really only fought one (or two) on one because it originally acts as a boss on the cliffs in Chapter 2-2 and then once more at the end of the labyrinth in Chapter 4-1.

The creature will attack up close with its claws or, otherwise, bind its prey with a sticky substance to allow it to swoop in, but you can get the upper hand with great firepower and, if you're resourceful enough, proximity mines. Its weak spot is inside its tail.
5. Chris will only fight Ndesu once, but where?

Answer: The port

The equivalent of El Gigante from Leon's visit to Spain, Ndesu is a hulking creature with unprecedented bulk and strength. Chris only encounters it once on his adventure through Africa, coming face-to-face against it at the port at the end of Chapter 2-3. To kill it, you need to attack its Plagas (same as anything else), but you'll need to do so with some finesse as there are five that empower this creature. Killing Ndesu will allow you to proceed out to the wetlands and the next stage of the journey.
6. Bui Kichwa are found in Chapter 4, but they'll typically appear by which means?

Answer: From underground

Bui Kichwa, while somewhat weak, appear in larger numbers and move around like bugs in the caves beneath Kijuju, appearing to Chris and Sheva while they try to make their way to and through the ruins beneath the Tricell labs. Because of their quantities, they're often easier to kill, falling after only a few bullets, but if they do get close they'll take a flying leap and wrap around their prey, incapacitating them until help is given.
7. A returning foe from previous "Resident Evil" games, which of these enemies suffers from poor eyesight?

Answer: Licker Beta

The Lickers of earlier "Resident Evil" games, notably "2" and "3", featured much the same flaw, being unable to track characters if they moved slow enough to avoid arousing suspicion. The problem here is that Chris and Sheva will rarely fight these foes with anything short of noise and they will attack in large groups, never being seen on their own. Fortunately, Lickers are only really found in the lab and excavation sites of Chapter 5, having been refined there using the Progenitor Virus.
8. Chris and Sheva will eventually face off against a mind-controlled Jill Valentine. Can she be killed?

Answer: No

If Chris and Sheva use bullets or explosives to bring her down, they'll be forced into a game over; there's no chance of Chris murdering his former partner, even if she's compelled to kill him. Towards the end of Chapter 5, the pair will emerge from the Tricell/Umbrella labs to find Albert Wesker and his right-hand-woman, Jill, who survived the fall in her and Chris' earlier mission and became mind-controlled using a gemstone attached to her chest. Chris/Sheva will need to maneuver to avoid getting killed by her and Wesker, but when Wesker leaves they'll have to work together to free Jill from the mind control.
9. Which of these can be used to defeat Excella Gionne when she is transformed using the Uroboros Virus?

Answer: Laser

The first sign of the Uroboros can be found as early as Chapter 1-2 when Chris and Sheva need to destroy one in a furnace. It's a nefarious forerunner to the Uroboros featured later in the game when Excella Gionne is transformed into the awful Uroboros Aheri, a massive creation that takes up much of the front of a large freighter ship in Chapter 6. Though Chris and Sheva can waste their bullets on this creature, using the Shango Satellite Laser, found on the deck, is the best way to go about the challenge since it uses a rocket launcher-style laser targeting device to hone in and blast with a massive ray of energy from the sky.
10. Albert Wesker will take the Uroboros Virus for himself to fight Chris and Sheva in a volcano. The last hit against him will be made with which of these?

Answer: Rocket launcher

The "Resident Evil" games love ending with a bang, so although you fight Wesker a few times, many with rockets, the battle against him in the volcano will require you to use regular firepower to hit the weak spots on his back and chest, weakening him enough to bring him down as much as possible. Josh and Jill will fly in via helicopter at just the right moment to take Chris and Sheva out of the rising lava, but it'll take two blasts from provided rocket launchers to do Wesker in for good, ending the nightmare...at least for now.
