trivia question Quick Question
Assuming you're playing as the Rebel Alliance. By how much would one Prefab Shelter increase your population limit?

From Quiz ""Galactic Battlegrounds" 3 - Miscellaneous"

Galactic Battlegrounds Trivia Questions

1. Which new unit can the Rebel Alliance produce that they couldn't in the original game?

From Quiz
"Galactic Battlegrounds" 6 - "Clone Campaigns"

Answer: A-Wing

The A-Wing is somewhat like the standard Rebel Alliance fighter, the X-Wing. It's weaker firepower and shielding don't make it good for massive assaults, but it's superior speed and relative cheap cost makes it a great reconnaissance craft. A small squadron of A-Wings could explore entire maps efficiently, allowing you to quickly gain intelligence on enemy locations and base entry routes.

2. What title will a Worker have if it's healing a damaged, mechanical friendly unit?

From Quiz "Galactic Battlegrounds" 5 - Miscellaneous

Answer: Repairer

Workers have many different titles, depending on what their current task is. Workers can act like medics for mechanical units. They can restore hit points for most mechanical units, as well as buildings.

3. Each of the four resources in "Star Wars Galactic Battleground" can be identified by colour. Which resource is purple?

From Quiz "Galactic Battlegrounds" 3 - Miscellaneous

Answer: Ore

Carbon is blue, food is orange/red, nova is green, and ore is purple. Ore is the rarest of the four resources. Ore patches are normally spread out and hard to find, and the patches you do find will normally not have much ore to extract from them. Ore is needed to create Fortresses, Walls, Turrets, and a few other buildings, as well as many defensive upgrades.

4. In the Training Campaign, which member from the Jedi order is at Alaris Prime, helping the Wookiees set up their new colony?

From Quiz "Galactic Battlegrounds" 2 - The Campaigns

Answer: Qui-Gon Jinn

Qui-Gon is the person who gives you all your training instructions and tips. You actually get to use Qui-Gon in the last mission.

5. How much ore does it take to build a fortress?

From Quiz Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds

Answer: 550

It takes 550 ore to make a fortress. A fortress has a lot of hit points and can shoot out several bullets at once.

6. What tech level must you be at to create a Strike Mech?

From Quiz "Galactic Battlegrounds" 1 - Miscellaneous

Answer: 3

You can create a Mech Factory (where you can create Strike Mechs) in Tech Level 2, but until Tech Level 3, you can only create scouts.

7. The Confederacy can create units from which building that no other civilization can?

From Quiz "Galactic Battlegrounds" 6 - "Clone Campaigns"

Answer: Animal Nursery

The Confederacy of Independent Systems has the ability to make three unique units in their Animal Nursery: The Nexu, the Reek, and the Acklay. The Nexu is fairly fast and is most efficient against workers. The Reek is slower than the other two, and is mostly useful against buildings. The Acklay is good against troopers, etc. You don't normally want to produce these units en masse, but to give your army a slight edge with diversity, it may be worthwhile getting a few. All animals are melee attackers, so make sure they're not caught where they cannot fight back against ranged enemies.

8. What is the seaworthy version of a Worker?

From Quiz "Galactic Battlegrounds" 4 - Miscellaneous

Answer: Utility Trawler

A Utility Trawler can't do as much as a Worker, but it is still helpful. It can gather fish from water that normal Workers could not reach from the shore. It can also build Sensor Buoy, the sea version of a Sentry Post, and an Aqua Harvester, which is the sea version of a Farm. That's all most Utility Trawlers can do, but the Gungan Utility Trawler can also build Underwater Prefab Shelters.

9. In the Training Campaign, who is the Trendosian on Alaris Prime?

From Quiz "Galactic Battlegrounds" 2 - The Campaigns

Answer: Pekt

Pekt escapes Alaris Prime claiming that the loss was a minor setback and that he would see the Wookiees again, which he does in the Wookiee Campaign.

10. At what tech level can you make a research center?

From Quiz Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds

Answer: tech level 3

You can build a research center at tech level 3. At a research center you can upgrade turrets, walls, hit points of buildings, and much more.

11. Which civilization can't create Jedi/Sith Masters?

From Quiz "Galactic Battlegrounds" 1 - Miscellaneous

Answer: Confederacy

Wookies and Gungans can't create them either.

12. Who does the Confederacy Bounty Hunter look like?

From Quiz "Galactic Battlegrounds" 6 - "Clone Campaigns"

Answer: Zam Wesell

Zam Wesell was the bounty hunter working for Jango Fett, trying to kill Senator Amidala in "Episode II: Attack of the Clones". Bounty Hunters are slow firing units, however, they have impressive range and firepower, and have an attack bonus against Jedi/Sith.

13. Which Civilization does not need Prefabricated Shelters?

From Quiz "Galactic Battlegrounds" 5 - Miscellaneous

Answer: Trade Federation

This is the Trade Federation's major advantage. You're not spending large amounts of time and resources on Prefab Shelters like all other civilizations. They don't, however, have a good Carbon collecting program, meaning they collect carbon a lot slower than the other civilizations.

14. Assuming you're playing as the Rebel Alliance. By how much would one Prefab Shelter increase your population limit?

From Quiz "Galactic Battlegrounds" 3 - Miscellaneous

Answer: Five

All civilizations have Prefab Shelters (although the Trade Federation does not need them and cannot build them in normal games). Prefab Shelters increase your population limit by five for each one you build, with the exception of the Galactic Republic, whose Prefab Shelters increase the population limit by six for each one built.

15. In the Training Campaign, who is your main enemy?

From Quiz "Galactic Battlegrounds" 2 - The Campaigns

Answer: The Trade Federation

The Wookiees had legal rights to the planet but the Trade Federation didn't leave. The Wookiees ended up having to blast them off Alaris Prime.

16. What do you need to advance to tech level 4?

From Quiz Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds

Answer: 1000 food, 800 nova, and 2 level 3 buildings

You need 1000 food, 800 nova crystals, and 2 tech level 3 buildings. Tech level 4 allows you to create and research many new things.

17. How many civilizations can create Power Droids?

From Quiz "Galactic Battlegrounds" 6 - "Clone Campaigns"

Answer: Eight

All eight civilizations can create Power Droids at the Power Core. The Power Droid is a "Clone Campaigns" only unit, and functions as a small, mobile Power Core. Its radius of power is small, and it doesn't have many hit points, but it's much cheaper than an actual Power Core, and great when you want to power a single, out-of-the-way building.

18. Each of the four resources in "Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds" can be identified by colour. Which one is blue?

From Quiz "Galactic Battlegrounds" 5 - Miscellaneous

Answer: Carbon

Carbon is the most used resource tied with food. Almost all buildings need Carbon. Many units, like troopers and mechs, which should form the bulk of your attack force need it. Troopers and Mechs are cheap, and can put out a lot of damage before dying. You probably want to produce them en masse for maximum effect, whether or not you want them to be diversions for your other forces, like air, or if you want to be a nuisance and torment or cripple your enemies. Whatever it is, make sure you harvest a lot of Carbon. You won't regret it.

19. What are Bounty Hunters especially good against?

From Quiz "Galactic Battlegrounds" 4 - Miscellaneous

Answer: Jedi/Sith

Bounty Hunters are Fortress units. They are relatively powerful in general; they are especially strong against Jedi/Sith. Where it would take many shots from a Trooper or a Strike Mech, the Bounty Hunter has to fire only a few shots to drop a Jedi/Sith. Also, Bounty Hunters can't be turned by Jedi or Sith, making Jedi/Sith quite vulnerable when facing Bounty Hunters.

20. In the Trade Federation Campaign, which Naboo city stole one of the five droid control programs?

From Quiz "Galactic Battlegrounds" 2 - The Campaigns

Answer: Harte Secur

The program was held in a small outpost just south of Harte Secur. OOM-9 retrieved it and then took the city.

21. What does a holocron do?

From Quiz Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds

Answer: It gives you a steady flow of nova crystals.

A holocron gives you a steady flow of nova crystals if it is placed in a jedi or sith temple. Holocrons may only be picked up by jedi.

22. From which building can you research 'unit' technologies only?

From Quiz "Galactic Battlegrounds" 1 - Miscellaneous

Answer: War Center

The Research Center focuses on upgrading your buildings, while the War Center does the same for your units.

23. Which building now comes with technologies that it originally didn't have?

From Quiz "Galactic Battlegrounds" 6 - "Clone Campaigns"

Answer: Power Core

The Power Core comes with three very useful upgrades. Strengthened Assembly increases the amount of hit points all your Power Cores and Power Droids have. Power Core Shielding is relatively self-explanatory: it gives all your Power Cores shields. finally, possibly the most useful upgrade, is Efficient Buildings, which increases the rate at which your buildings perform their tasks, whether it be researching technology or creating units.

24. What are Destroyers especially good against?

From Quiz "Galactic Battlegrounds" 4 - Miscellaneous

Answer: Ships

Destroyers are good against ships and not much else. They act like a pummel, where they have no range but a high attack. Destroyers sail up to an enemy ship and use laser cutters to destroy it. Destroyers can be easily destroyed by enemy fire from land units, as most of the time the Destroyer will not be able to attack back. Destroyers also have no anti-air abilities, so whenever you use them, be sure you have supporting units. Destroyers are best used when there's a good chance there will be enemy ships. To create Destroyers to defend you base from a potential sea attack would not be advisable, as most attacks will come on land or air. Also, if you do have other military units, you should be able to take care of an aquatic assault with relative ease.

25. Power Cores are very nice buildings. They have a radius of power, and all building within that radius will receive power. If a building is not in the power radius of a Power Core, what will the operating efficiency of that building be?

From Quiz "Galactic Battlegrounds" 3 - Miscellaneous

Answer: Twenty-Five Percent

When a building is outside the range of a Power Core, they will create units and research technologies at only twenty-five percent efficiency. The few exceptions to this are the Command Center and the Fortress. Also, Shield Generators will not function at all with power. And alternate source of power is the Power Droid. The Power Droid is Clone Campaigns only. It's made at the Power Core, and has a Power Radius of its own, although it's much smaller.

26. In the Trade Federation Campaign, which city was Naboo's chief supply center?

From Quiz "Galactic Battlegrounds" 2 - The Campaigns

Answer: Spinnaker

The Viceroy needed resources to fund the invasion and Spinnaker's stockpiles were overflowing because no transports could get through the blockade.

27. What building must be built before you can create Mounted Troopers?

From Quiz "Galactic Battlegrounds" 1 - Miscellaneous

Answer: Animal Nursery

You can store Nerfs and Banthas in the animal nursery to gain food.

28. What is the Republic's unique unit?

From Quiz "Galactic Battlegrounds" 6 - "Clone Campaigns"

Answer: Jedi Starfighter

Jedi Starfighters are kind of like the rebel Alliance's A-Wing. They're fast, and best used for reconnaissance. The Jedi Starfighter, however, fires homing torpedoes, which do much more damage than A-Wings. However, the Starfighter truly makes it's mark in the final stages of the game, in Tech Level 4, where you can provide it with a number of upgrades from the Jedi Temple, such as Mind Trick, which renders the Starfighter undetectable to most units.

29. In a Standard Game, how many Holocrons can be found scattered across the map?

From Quiz "Galactic Battlegrounds" 3 - Miscellaneous

Answer: Five

A standard game is a player versus up to eight other human or computer players. One thing all the maps of a standard game have in common is five Holocrons. If the game type is Random Map, then if a player or a team has possession of all Holocrons a timer will be started. If it reaches zero, that player or team will win the match.

30. How many units can a fortress hold?

From Quiz Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds

Answer: 20

A fortress can hold 20 units inside it. The more units inside the fortress, the more bullets it shoots out.
