They are also known as a pace of asses. Asses are members of the horse family. Donkeys are domestic asses. Wild asses live in the dry grasslands, deserts and mountains in parts of Africa and Asia.
2. Beavers

They are best known as dam builders - their homes are known as dams or lodges. They are primarily aquatic animals with large front teeth and flat tails. Their young are called kits.

4. Cranes

Also known as a sedge of cranes. There are 15 species of cranes. The long legged cranes perform incredible dances to attract mates and to communicate with each other during their courtship ceremonies.
5. Swallows

Insects such as grasshoppers, dragonflies, and moths are the primary food sources, and are preferably caught while the swallows are in flight. During their stay in the nest, both parents feed the young. Like most birds, barn swallows engage in frequent preening behaviour.

7. Grouse

8. Hawks

They are also known as a siege of herons. Herons, including egrets, hunt mainly alone. The bird will stand still and rigid, or walk in slow motion through the shallows until it spots a fish or frog. The heron seizes the victim with its long dagger-like bill.
10. Magpies

It is also known as a charm, gulp or murder of magpies. Magpies are fascinated by bright things, and often steal. Magpies have rounded wings and long, straight tails. They are a member of the crow family. They are not powerful fliers.
11. Cockroaches

It can also be a swarm. The cockroach's main sense organ is its long feelers, or antennae. On the cockroach's legs are touch sensitive hairs which detect the slightest vibration.
12. Moles

Moles are expert at tunnelling. They lead a solitary life except when male and females meet up to mate. The mole's snout and stumpy tail are very sensitive to touch, although their eyesight is poor. They are also good swimmers.
13. Plovers

They are also known as a wing of plovers. The ringed plover often hides on a pebble or shingle beach. Once it lands, it seems to disappear into this kind of background, thanks to its camouflage of black and white markings.
14. Snipe

It is also known as a walk of snipes. The common snipe is a small secretive bird with brown plumage and long, straight bill. It usually lives in woodlands and other damp places.
15. Woodpeckers

There are about 200 different types of woodpeckers in the world. They hammer on tree trunks either to expose the insect grubs, to chisel out their nest hole or to attract a mate. The woodpecker's tongue is so long that it has to coil it up around its skull.
