1. This famous football player and actor was acquitted of murder in 1994, but 14 years later he went to prison for something else. Who was he?

Answer: O.J. Simpson

Orenthal James Simpson gained fame as a running back for the Buffalo Bills. He became the first running back ever to rush for over 2,000 yards in a season and he was the only one to do it before the NFL went for a 14-game season to a 16-game season in 1978. He was second all-time in rushing yards when he retired in 1979. He then became an actor, starring in comedic films like "The Naked Gun".

In 1994, his wife Nicole Brown and his wife's friend Ron Goldman were found murdered in Nicole's home. Simpson was arrested for the crime, but hired an all-star team of lawyers that included Robert Shapiro, Johnnie Cochran, and Robert Kardashian. Simpson was acquitted of the murder, which angered many people.

In 2007, Simpson was arrested again for stealing sports merchandise from a hotel room in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was convicted of this and sentenced to 33 years in prison, beginning in 2008. However, he was eligible for parole after nine years and he was granted a parole, and released from prison, in 2017.
