Answer: Aviatophobia

The fear of flying is the 7th most common phobia. Anemophobia is the fair of air drafts or wind. Barophobia is the fear of gravity. Aeronausiphobia is the fear of vomiting secondary to air sickness.

Ailurus means "tail-waivers." William Shakespeare and Dwight Eisenhower are a couple of other famous people who suffered from Ailurophobia. The World's worst cat-hater had to have been a Chicago banker by the name of Rockwell Syre. In the early 1920's he started a campaign to rid the entire world of "filthy and useless" cats by 1925.

He offered rewards to cat killers and is said to have inspired the killing of at least seven million cats.
