He attended Buckingham Palace on 16th June 2000 to receive his Knighthood from the Queen.

In an attempt to only serve one more year, Caine decided to switch regimes, to the Royal Fusilier's, and actually saw action in the Korean War.

He was originally hired as a technical adviser, because of his experiences in the Korean War.
