Bruce's daily workout consisted of: 360 waist twists, 100 sit-up twists, 100 leg raises, 200 leaning twists, 200 frog kicks, 2000 kicks and 5000 punches. Add to that his training of Wing Chun and Jeet Kune Do. The perfect physical specimen.

The crew was mixed with Asians and Americans (mostly due to Bruce's insistence), and this led to many frustrating communication problems. To shoot the fight scenes, they needed very tough and experienced fighters from near the shooting location. The most qualified they could get in considerable numbers were rival Asian gangs.

When the camera rolled they weren't staging the fights but they were actually fighting! The director was about to walk out on the film but Bruce's wife Linda convinced him to stay and she made peace between the gangs.

After that was settled Bruce was suddenly confronted by many gang members who thought they could beat Bruce ... Bruce still remained undefeated after dozens of consecutive fights.
