Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. You can identify a Junior Woodchuck by his coonskin cap and his Junior Woodchucks Guidebook, which always has the information he needs, no matter what the situation. Donald Duck's nephews are Junior Woodchucks, but what are their names?

Answer: Huey, Dewey, and Louie

Huey, Dewey, and Louie were first animated in the short cartoon "Donald's Nephews" (1938), but first appeared in the newspaper comic strip (1937).

The Junior Woodchucks first appeared in "Operation St. Bernhard" ("Walt Disney's Comics and Stories" #125, 1951) by legendary "Duck Artist" Carl Barks. The origins of the Junior Woodchucks Guidebook were told in "Guardians of the Lost Library" ("Uncle Scrooge Adventures" #27, 1994) by Don Rosa, which has been called "possibly the greatest comic book story of all time" by the "Comics Buyer's Guide".
2. "Max and Ruby" is a cartoon about two bunny siblings, 7-year old Ruby and her 3-year old little brother Max. Ruby is a member of what appropriately-named scouting organization?

Answer: Bunny Scouts

"Max and Ruby" (2002-2007) is a cartoon for preschoolers based on the books by Rosemary Wells.
3. In "Camp Lazlo", a monkey named Lazlo attends Camp Kidney. He is in Jelly Cabin with Raj the Indian elephant and Clam the albino pygmy rhino. Other campers are in Pinto Cabin, Fava Cabin, etc. What kind of scouts attend Camp Kidney?

Answer: Bean Scouts

"Camp Lazlo" (2005-2008) is a cartoon series about adventures at a summer sleep-away camp from Joe Murray, the creator of "Rocko's Modern Life" (1993-1996).

The Squirrel Scouts in "Camp Lazlo" attend the all-girl camp, Acorn Flats, across the lake from Camp Kidney.
4. This globetrotting daughter of a brain surgeon and a rocket scientist saves the world all the time - it's high school that's the problem. Who is this former Pixie Scout that makes the impossible possible?

Answer: Kim Possible

"Kim Possible" (2002-2007) ended production in early 2005, but in late 2005 was renewed for a fourth and final season. In the show, Kim Possible saves the world while dealing with the drama of high school. She is assisted by Wade (tech support, usually stays in his room) and friend (later boyfriend) Ron Stoppable and his pet naked mole rat, Rufus.

"Pixie Scouts" sell Pixie muffins and cookies, and have the motto "Pixies Stick Together."
5. Bessie Higgenbottom is an overachieving Honeybee Scout, who believes she will become a superhero by earning every Honeybee Badge. What superhero does she want to become?

Answer: The Mighty B

"The Mighty B!" (2008-????) was co-created by Amy Poehler, who provides the voice for Bessie. Bessie has more badges than any other Honeybee Scout, but in the first episode we find out that she has 4,584 more to earn in order to get them all and become the Mighty B.

"Super Scout" was the title of the 2006 pilot that eventually became "The Mighty B!"
6. In "Phineas and Ferb", Isabella Garcia-Shapiro is the leader of a troop of Fireside Girls who often assist the boys in their adventures. Why do Isabella and her troop always help out?

Answer: Isabella has a crush on Phineas

"Phineas and Ferb" (2007-????) is a show about two stepbrothers who eliminate the boredom of summer vacation by building amazing things. Meanwhile, their sister Candace continuously fails to get their mother to catch them in the act and their pet platypus Perry is a secret agent (Agent P) assigned to thwart a local but incompetent evil scientist, Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz.

While the other Fireside Girls are usually wearing their orange scout uniforms, Isabella is most often depicted wearing a pink dress, sash, and hair-bow, so she stands out as their leader. Her catchphrase is "Whatcha doin'?"
7. On an episode of "Hey Arnold!", Arnold and Gerald get in trouble with the Campfire Lasses when Gerald's little sister, Timberly, eats all of the terrapin candy the boys sold to their neighbors. What kind of candy was it?

Answer: Chocolate Turtles

"Hey Arnold!", 1996-2004, features the urban adventures of a "football-headed kid" and his friends.

The show started as a series of claymation shorts which were seen on "Sesame Street" (1969-????), but the television show was a typical animated cartoon that did not use claymation.
8. Timmy Turner's life is pretty strange. His father is his incompetent Squirrel Scout troop leader, his mother is better at scouting than any man in Dimmsdale, and - oh yeah! - he has magic fish that grant his every wish. What cartoon show is this?

Answer: The Fairly Oddparents

"The Fairly Oddparents" (2001-????) started as a series of shorts on "Oh Yeah! Cartoons" (1998-2001).

Timmy has a pink hat because creator Butch Hartman's blue marker went dry. Timmy's fairy godmother Wanda was supposed to have blue hair, but pink hair showed up better against the blue walls of Timmy's room.
9. In the cartoon "Beetlejuice", when Lydia joins the Happy Faced Girls, her ghostly pal Beetlejuice makes fun of her until he realizes how much money can be made selling cookies. He then makes his own troop of Sappy Faced Ghouls to sell his own cookies. What was wrong with those cookies?

Answer: they were haunted

Roughly based on the 1998 film, the cartoon series Beetlejuice (1989-1991), has the human girl Lydia and the ghost Beetlejuice adventuring together both in the real world and in the "Neitherworld."

Betelgeuse, on the other hand, is the second brightest star in the constellation Orion.
10. All Russell wanted to do was to earn his "Assisting the Elderly" merit badge for the Wilderness Explorers. He ended up getting an unorthodox trip to South America, the adventure of a lifetime, a talking dog, and a new friend in what movie?

Answer: Up

"Up" (2009) is the story of an elderly man fulfilling a promise to his late wife by going on the adventure they had always talked about. With Russell's help, he faces dangers and talking dogs and learns that life itself is an adventure.
