The nWo took their attack on the 'People's Champion' just a little too far, complete with Hogan running down The Rock with an 18-wheeler while he was in an ambulance. Two weeks later, on an episode of 'Raw', The Rock challenged Hogan to a match to end all matches.

The Rock told Hogan that it is what the fans want, it is what he wants and he also told Hogan that they would be the main event at 'Wrestlemania 18'.

The Rock said it would be 'Icon against Icon'. That match and that match alone would determine who would be the best ever. Hogan accepted The Rock's Challenge. 'Wrestlemania 18' proved to be spectacular.
