Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Help, Winnie the Pooh is stuck. He needs some help. He can't ask just anyone for help. He needs a little boy's help. What is the name of the little boy in the "Winnie the Pooh" stories?

Answer: Christopher Robin

Piglet is a little pig looking thing. He's probably Pooh's favorite friend. Tigger is a bouncing tiger. He usually gets himself in trouble by bouncing too much. Eeyore is a lazy little donkey with a pinned on tail. But he's so loveable and slow. But it seems like whenever Pooh gets stuck or needs some help, he yells, "CHRISTOPHER ROBIN!"
2. This man is not very nice to Peter Pan. This mean man had his hand chopped off by a crocodile too. Who is this not very nice man?

Answer: Captain Hook

Peter Pan invited Wendy, Michael and John to Neverland. Peter wanted Wendy to read stories to the Lost Boys. This is such a cute movie. I like the song in this movie, "Think of a Wonderful Thought..." Don't worry about Captain Hook, that old crocodile is still chasing him away.
3. This beautiful woman had two mean stepsisters. The stepsisters were so mean to her. They didn't want her to go to the ball; however, she did go and had a wonderful time. Too bad she lost her glass slipper. Do you know her name? Remember, it starts with the letter C.

Answer: Cinderella

Cinderella had so many animal friends. The mice got together to create the most beautiful dress for Cinderella. Her mean stepsisters tore the dress to pieces. But the Prince found Cinderella and they all lived happily ever after.
4. There are two chipmunks that like to tease and mess with each other. One is named Dale, what is the other chipmunk's name?

Answer: Chip

Do you know the difference between Chip and Dale? Chip has one tooth and his nose is dark brown. Dale has two teeth and has a lighter brown nose. We were lucky enough to eat with Chip and Dale in Disney World at the character dinner in Epcot. Maybe someday you can go there too.
5. I'm making this one a little harder. This was one of the first hotels on Disney property back when Disney World first opened up. What is the name of this hotel?

Answer: Contemporary Resort

The Contemporary Resort and the Polynesian Resort were the first two hotels. They also had Fort Wilderness Campgrounds too. The monorail runs from Disney World Theme Park right through the middle of the Contemporary Resort. It's neat seeing the ride come through your hotel. You might try riding in the pilot's area in the monorail next time too. If you do, make sure that you get your certificate vouching this.
Can the crystal cat keep the cute cuddly castle really clean? How's that for some more C's?
6. Let's start with the letter D now. Do you happen to know the name of the flying elephant that had really big ears?

Answer: Dumbo

Dumbo's mother loved him so much. She didn't let anyone make fun of her little Dumbo. Dumbo made friends with Timothy the mouse in the circus. My favorite part of the movie is when the crows are singing.
7. I am a duck. My girlfriend's name is Daisy. My best pals are Mickey, Minnie, Pluto and Goofy. I sort of talk a little funny, but then again, I'm a duck. What is my name?

Answer: Donald

Donald Duck is one of the major characters of Disney World and Disneyland. Donald's first cartoon was back in 1934. That's probably older than your mom and dad. Donald has three little nephews - Huey, Dewey and Louie. There are many other members of the Duck family too. Do you know Scrooge McDuck, the really rich one?
8. This is one of the seven dwarfs. He doesn't talk and he always seems to be smiling. Do you know the name of this dwarf that starts with D?

Answer: Dopey

When Disney was coming up with the names of the seven dwarfs, some of the suggestions were Dirty, Gabby, Jumpy and Hoppy. Can you think of any names that you would have used for the seven dwarfs?
9. There's a great show in Disney World. You sit in a saloon and listen to jokes, watch the dancing girls and just have old western fun. What show is this that you can go to?

Answer: Diamond Horseshoe Revue

If you get there early enough, make sure that you get the seats right by the stage. You can sit in the balcony too. When we went, one of the cowboys put his hat on my son. My son was so excited and happy. They used to have really good chili too. I don't know if they have that anymore, but it was really good.
10. You are doing so well, learning the alphabet. I hate for this quiz to end, but that means that there will be another quiz too. Let's think of a real DANDY DINGER for our next question for the letter D. Walt and Roy were brothers. Their first names are Walt and Roy, but can you tell me their last name?

Answer: Disney

Walt Disney was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1901. Walt was the man that came up with Mickey Mouse in his first sound movie, "Steamboat Willie". Mickey Mouse's birthday is actually November 18, 1928, the date that this movie was released.
Roy Disney was also born in Chicago, Illinois back in 1893. Roy had a son named Roy Edward Disney. The son Roy became involved with Walt Disney Company and was one of the board of directors of the company in 1967. I thank Walt and Roy every day for making "all my dreams come true!"
