Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. This was tauted as 'The Home Of The Future'. Several other buildings were made from the same material in various other parts of the country. Name this house.

Answer: Xanadu

Unfortunately due to lack of interest, disrepair, and the active hurricane season of 2004, Xanadu was finally razed in 2005.
2. There once were two museums to this notable person, one in Old Town and one on the second floor of a strip mall on the corner of International Drive and Carrier Road. Name him.

Answer: Elvis Presley

Elvis (and these museums) has left the building.
3. Which of these was NOT featured at Mystery Fun House?

Answer: Indoor Rock Wall

Mystery Fun House was one of the last 'old style' entertainment venues in Central Florida. It was centered around a traditional funhouse, including a hall of mirrors, torture chamber, and other sideshow-like features.
4. Who wore the number six jersey for the Orlando Magic when they went to the NBA Finals?

Answer: King Kong in Kongfrontation at Universal Studios

Shaq left the Magic in 1996; Kongfrontation closed in 2002 to make way for the Revenge Of The Mummy ride.
5. Which of these still remains?

Answer: Sky Venture

Sky Venture is an indoor skydiving wind tunnel located just off of International Drive and Visitors Circle.
6. Which of these dinner theaters is not around anymore?

Answer: American Gladiators Dinner And Show

This is just a guess, but I suppose that dining with Rage, Panther, and Jazz wasn't all that big of a draw.
7. What was the former name of Universal Blvd.?

Answer: Republic Drive

Though the road itself has changed, it still links the Convention Center area directly with Universal Studios.
8. At Universal Studios, what attraction was originally housed where Twister is currently located?

Answer: Ghostbusters Spooktackular

The show featured live action and special effects to re-enact scenes from the popular movie franchise.
9. At Disney's EPCOT, which of these was NOT a replacement for the original attraction?

Answer: Spaceship Earth

Mission Space replaced Horizons; Innoventions replaced Communicore; Test Track replaced World Of Motion. As for Spaceship Earth, though features and scripts on the ride itself have changed over the years the giant sphere at the park entrance is still the most recognizable symbol of EPCOT.
10. Which of these attractions is still standing (and open for business)?

Answer: Holy Land Amusement Park

Circus World became Boardwalk And Baseball; Hollywood Wax Museum (not to be confused with Hooray For Hollywood Wax Museum currently at Old Town) was converted to warehouse space; Splendid China remains closed.
