1. Tinkertown Family Fun Park
Tinkertown Family Fun Park is in Springfield, Manitoba, just outside Winnipeg. The amusement park did not start as a stand alone centre. Instead, it started as part of a KOA Campground and Amusement Park. It became very popular as an amusement destination in the 1980s, and when it needed room to expand, the campground portion was closed in 1994.
The most popular attractions at the Tinkertown Family Fun Park include relatively tame rides like the Tilt-a-whirl and the train ride, an 18-hole mini-putt golf course, and an arcade.
2. Magnetic Hill Park
Magnetic Hill Park is located in Moncton, New Brunswick, one of Canada's Maritime provinces. The park has a zoo, a water park, and the magnetic hill attraction. The magnetic hill is a gravity hill. Cars that are placed in neutral appear to be pulled up a hill. However, gravity hills are actually optical illusions. The land is actual angled downward, but appears like an upwardly-angled hill because of the inability to see the horizon as a reference point at that particular place.
Attractions at Magnetic Hill Park include a water park, batting cages, a mini-putt, bumper boats, a driving range, go-karts, some classic amusement park rides, and a playground. There are also concession stands and a butterfly house.
3. Galaxyland
Galaxyland is an amusement park that is located inside Alberta's West Edmonton Mall. Building up over time it became the largest indoor amusement park in North America. The amusement park and concessions are located on over three acres within the shopping mall. Rides are based on Hasbro games, and include beginner-level games like the Monopoly Train ride, Sorry! Sliders bumper cars, and a carousel, all the way up to advanced rides like the Galaxy Orbiter roller coaster, and the Hungry Hungry Hippos Feeding Frenzy.
There is also a water park, so guests might want to plan more than one day at the West Edmonton Mall.
4. Urban Air Adventures and Trampoline Park
Sudbury, Ontario is the location for Urban Air Adventures and Trampoline Park. This park has a number of activities that are sure to tire out any participants. Activities include a ropes course, climbing walls, various trampolines, swinging obstacle courses, and venues where participants can duel with padded beams. All activities are considered safe, with most having a "bubble pit" beneath them for safe falls.
5. Paradise Fun Park
This amusement park is located in Parksville, British Columbia, just north of Nanaimo on the east coast of Vancouver Island. Paradise Fun Park is a small venue that only has a limited number of attractions, but it is a popular spot on the Island. Activities include bumper boats to cool off in the summer, an arcade, and an 18-hole miniature golf course.
There is also a bakery and cafe on site for a treat after the playing is over.
6. Crickle Creek
Crickle Creek Is located in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. It is an amusement park that is designed for kids and adults alike. There, you'll find extra-large bouncy castles, small bouncers for younger children, a water park, an obstacle course, an 18-hole miniature golf course, a disc golf course, a par 3 nine-hole golf course, as well as a concession stand with their renowned ice cream.
The hours are seasonal, but a good Saskatchewan destination from spring through fall.
7. Village du Père Noël
Village du Père Noël, or Santa's Village, is located in Val-David, Quebec, about 90 km (56 miles) north of Montreal. This amusement park has activities that are aimed at children aged 2-8, so there are no wild rides. Instead, there is a water park, a playground, some games, a snack bar, and some live farm animals. Of course, Santa and his elves spend their summers here resting and getting ready for the busy season ahead.
The park is only open from mid-June until Labour Day weekend, but is is a lovely space to entertain the youngsters in the family over the summer.
8. Splash 'n' Putt Resort
The Splash 'n' Putt amusement park is located in Traytown, Newfoundland and Labrador. It is situated on the Trans-Canada Highway about 265 km (165 mi) from the capital of St. John's. The park offers a mini-putt course and a water slide, plus bumper boats, go-karts, and a snack bar.
There's also a simulated theatre complex where participants are strapped into their seats and feel like they are in race cars, roller coasters, and other high flying adventures. The park also has accommodations nearby, so folks don't have to face a long drive at the end of their day at the park.
9. Rattlesnake Canyon
Rattlesnake Canyon amusement park is located near Osoyoos Lake in the southern British Columbia city of Osoyoos. There are rides and activities for all ages, from traditional amusement park rides like the Tilt-a-whirl and the Tornado, go-karts, and bumper boats, and an arcade plus an ice cream parlour in a windmill. Rattlesnake Canyon has some activities that aren't found at other amusement parks like a bungee tree, a climbing wall, a mining station, a temporary tattoo parlour, and an aeroball station, a cross between trampoline play and basketball.
As with most Canadian amusement parks, the hours are seasonal.
10. Canada's Wonderland
Canada's Wonderland is the country's largest amusement park. It is located in Vaughan, Ontario, a city that is part of the Greater Toronto Area. This park has multiple roller coasters for all levels of thrill seeker, water slides that range from very passive to extremely thrilling, as well some traditional amusement park rides like the carousel, bumper cars, and flying rides.
Besides rides, there are a number of dining establishments in the park ranging from full-service with alcohol for adults down to snack bars for a snack on the go. There are also many eating establishments in the park that cater to dietary needs such as Halal, vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free. Canada's Wonderland also plays host to live shows ranging from children's shows that feature Charlie Brown and Snoopy, to stunt shows, comedy, live bands, and musicals that are more adult-oriented. The park is somewhat seasonal, but does have some events and shows throughout the year.
