Vince said that there was a rumor going around that if Chris Jericho or Chris Benoit won the WWF Heavyweight Title from Stone Cold Steve Austin at "King Of The Ring," that the champion would defect to WCW. He said that it was not true. He said that Austin won the match even though Booker T interfered. He said that no WCW superstar would ever set foot in Madison Square Garden.

Rhyno became the new Hardcore Champion when he gave Test the "Gore." A short time later, Mike Awesome entered the ring and gave Rhyno a powerbomb on a ladder and pinned him to win the Hardcore Title.

Answer: X-Pac

At one point in the match, Hardy went for the "Swanton Bomb," but X-Pac moved out of the way and rolled him up to retain his title.

Tazz won a very quick match with the "Tazzmission."

As The Big Show was attempting to give Matt a "Chokeslam," Lita got in the ring and gave him a low blow, causing a disqualification. As a result of this, Matt retained the title.

William Regal said that the United States is lacking in politeness. He called Edge out, and Edge came out with Christian. Edge said it was an honor to be King, even though Shane McMahon interfered in his match. He welcomed the fans to a new "Era of Awesomeness." Billy Gunn came out and said that he won the "King Of The Ring" back in 1999, and was looking forward to winning it again in 2000, but was injured. He said he wasn't a part of the 2001 "King Of The Ring," and challenged the 2001 winner to a match.

Late in the match, Christian gave Billy Gunn a neck breaker behind the referee's back. Edge gave him a DDT for the win.

Answer: Albert

Late in the match, Albert came to the ring and gave Kane the "Albert Bomb." This allowed the Dudleys to retain the titles.

Jericho got the win after Tajiri spit green mist in Regal's face when he intended to spit it at Jericho. Jericho pinned him for the win.

Vince said he saw things he never thought he would see. He said that Stone Cold Steve Austin has a plan and will kick Booker T's butt. He said that Stone Cold and Kurt Angle are outside WWF New York. A guard told both of them that Shane McMahon and Booker T already left. Austin and Angle entered the building and Austin grabbed a microphone and said that the next time he sees Booker T he will kick his butt. Back at Madison Square Garden, Shane McMahon came out.

As Vince was distracted, Booker T got in the ring.

When Vince saw him he hit him. Booker T fought back and pounded him until the other wrestlers came to break up the fight. Shane and Booker then ran off.
