She originally became the Star-Spangled Kid to annoy her stepfather, the former Stripesy (the adult sidekick to the original Star-Spangled Kid), but Pat built S.T.R.I.P.E., a robotic suit, so he could accompany her on her adventures.

After receiving the Cosmic Staff from Starman Jack Knight, she adopted the identity of Stargirl.

The first Judomaster appeared in 1965 from Charlton Comics. Sonia first appeared in "Birds of Prey" (#100, 2007), though when she joins the JSA she somehow lost the ability to speak and understand English.

However, the same Guardians of Oa that run the GLC are the ones that gathered the magic of Earth-One after the Crisis and placed it in the heart of a star. Since he never needs to recharge his ring, Alan is one of the most powerful super-beings... as long as there isn't any wood around.

The original Mr. America was Tex Thompson, who debuted in "Action Comics" #1, 1938 - the same comic that gave us Superman. Graves took up the mantle of Mr. America from his friend Trey Thompson, who was murdered by Vandal Savage ("Justice Society of America", vol. 3, #2, 2007).

Sandy's nightmares are an ability passed on to him from the Golden Age Sandman, Wesley Dodds, and come from the mythological Sandman (Morpheus, now Daniel). The visions are not welcome, and Sandy often resorts to drugs and coffee to stay awake as long as possible.
