1. Who was the owner, as well as the 10-time World Champion, of the promotion?

Answer: Verne Gagne

Gagne was the first AWA World Champion. Vachon was a 5-time titleholder, Bockwinkle a 4-time titleholder, and Fritz Von Erich held the title once, and later owned WCCW in Texas.
2. Which AWA World Heavyweight Champion later went on to become better known as a WWF/WWE commentator?

Answer: Jerry "The King" Lawler

Lawler was awarded the title as part of a deal drawn up between Gagne and Lawler, and Jerry Jarrett's Memphis promotion in 1988. He was stripped of the title when the deal fell through in 1989.
3. True or False: The AWA World Heavyweight Title never changed hands outside of North America?

Answer: False

Tha AWA World Heavyweight Title, in fact, changed hands twice in Tokyo. The first time was 22nd Feb, 1984, when Jumbo Tsuruta defeated Nick Bockwinkle, and the second was 10th Feb, 1990, when Masanori Saito defeated Larry Zbyszko.
4. Which holder of the AWA World Tag Team Titles was killed in a car crash in 1971?

Answer: Hercules Cortez

Cortez held the titles with Bastien at the time of the accident. Bastien later took Crusher as his partner to defend the titles.

Mr. M was, in fact, Bill Miller. He swapped the title with Verne Gagne in 1962.

Hogan wrestled Nick Bockwinkle on 24th April, 1983 in St. Paul, Minnesota, and defeated him. For reasons never fully explained, the AWA President, Stanley Blackburn, entered the ring and reversed the decision. By the way, for longtime followers of Hogan's career, he was managed in the AWA initially by Johnny Valiant, and then by Bobby Heenan.
8. In what city was the AWA Headquarters based?

Answer: Minneapolis

The first 6 AWA World Heavyweight Title changes took place in Minneapolis. Gagne promoted cards in San Francisco in the 1980's, after Roy Shire's SF promotion closed.

Answer: Bruiser & Crusher

Bruiser and Crusher won the titles on 5 occasions between 1963 and 1976. Stevens and Bock had 3 title reigns between 1972 and 1975, Gagne and Brunzell had 3 between 1976 and 1983, and Hennig and Race had 3 from 1965 to 1967.
10. True or False: Ric Flair made his professional debut in AWA?

Answer: True

In 1972, Richard Fliehr, a graduate of Verne Gagne's wrestling school, made his pro wrestling debut by defeating Paul Perschmann (later known as Playboy Buddy Rose).
