Answer: Benjamin Parker -- Uncle Ben

In "Amazing Fantasy #15", a burglar entered Ben and May Parker's home. Ben Parker surprised the thief, which resulted in the burglar shooting and murdering Peter's Uncle Ben. As Peter returned home from a personal appearance, in which he was slated for a TV series, he saw a police car outside his house.

The officer informed him of the murder of his Uncle Ben and told him the burglar was trapped in the old Acme Warehouse at the waterfront. In a fit of rage, Peter puts on his costume, and then heads to the warehouse after the thief.

After slugging him a couple of times, "Spider-Man" spins the crook in a web and leaves him hanging there alive and unable to escape so that the officers could arrest him.
2. This person made his first appearance in 1968 in the comic book "Amazing Spider-Man #56". Two years later, in 1970, during a battle between Doc Ock and "Spider-Man", this man died while protecting a young boy from falling debris in "Amazing Spider-Man #90". What is the name of the man?

Answer: Captain George Stacy

Captain George Stacy was the father of Gwen Stacy, whom Peter Parker had been dating. Debris was falling everywhere, and in an act of heroism, George Stacy gave his life to protect a young boy that was standing directly below where a huge piece of debris was falling. Shielding the child from the debris, the large masonry crashed down upon George Stacy. Before he took his last breath, "Spider-Man" leaped off the building and took George Stacy in his arms.

His last words to "Spider-Man" were, "Be good to her son! Be good to her. She loves you so very much." George Stacy died knowing Peter Parker was "Spider-Man", but he kept that secret to the very end.

At first the two disliked each other, often butting heads. But in time they became friends, even though Ben Reilly still believed himself to be the real "Spider-Man". In a battle which paired the two "Spider-Men" up against the Green Goblin, Ben jumped in front of the Goblin's glider in order to save Peter's life, heroically giving his own life for Peter's.
