Answer: Guy Fawkes

The original "V for Vendetta" stories appeared in "Warrior" comic book, between 1982 and 1985. They were in black and white, and were written by Alan Moore, and illustrated by David Lloyd.
The 2006 film of the same name, directed by James McTeigue, starred Hugo Weaving as V.
In the storyline, Enid Blyton's "Magic Faraway Tree" books are referenced, and at one point V actually reads one of them as a bedtime story for Evey, the lead female character.

V-Man made his debut in the first ever issue of V...-Comic in 1942. The "...-" in the title represented the morse code for the letter V, for Victory.
After a sojurn in the "Urn of Pandora" (along with several other characters who had passed into the public domain when their original publishing rights lapsed) V-Man was revived for the "Project Superpowers" comic issued by Dynamite Entertainment in 2008.

Valda the Iron Maiden made her first appearance in issue 3 of a comic series entitled "Arak, Son of Thunder", in 1981. Although she had no supernatural powers, she was an unequalled swordswoman and highly skilled at both equestrianism and hand to hand combat techniques.

In a career which spanned 80 years, Earl Hammond portrayed and voiced characters as diverse as Buck Rogers and Pope John Paul II, as well as characters for "Thundercats", "Transformers", and "Silverhawks".
The "Thundercats" television show was first broadcast in 1985, and the original comics were published by Marvel, between 1984 and 1988.
In the early 2000s, DC Comics published five new series' and also issued various items of merchandise which brought the Thundercats characters to a new generation of fans.

Salem's Seven first appeared in issue 186 of "The Fantastic Four", published in 1977, and have been in several comics since then, including a storyline in issue 30 of "Four" in 2006.
The four "Sons of Scratch" are Vakume, Brutacus, Thornn, and Hydron, and their sisters, the "Daughters of Scratch", are Vertigo, Gazelle, and Reptilla.
This Vertigo is not the same character as the Vertigo faced by the X-Men when they battled the mutants from the Savage Lands.

The stories are set in the Marvel Comics universe and various other Marvel characters made appearances in the "ClanDestine" stories.

The "Tantu Totem" was first used when the great warrior Tantu asked Anansi to make it for him. It allows the bearer to assume the abilities of any animal, living or extinct, as long as they only use it for good. The totem passed through the generations, until it ended up with Mari Jiwe McCabe, aka Vixen.
In 2008, the character returned in a brand new five issue series called "Vixen: Return of the Lion".

As children, Nikolai and his twin sister Laynia were taken from their home and trained ruthlessly by the Russian government, as soon as their mutant powers become apparent. They become Vanguard and Darkstar.
Vanguard's first appearance was in "Iron Man" issue 109, published in 1978.
