WWE "Raw" September 30, 2002 Trivia Quiz

Answer: Lita

As "Raw" began, Eric Bischoff was standing in the middle of the ring with Lita. Lita, who broke her neck on an episode of "Dark Angel," and was not fully recovered from her operation, was being harassed by Bischoff because of her statement saying that "Smackdown" was better. Bischoff showed Lita's statement on the Titan-Tron for the audience to see.

He then said that Lita had had her 15 minutes of fame, but that he was going to give her 3 more minutes.

Answer: Rosey and Jamal

Bischoff's attack dogs, Rosey and Jamal, entered the ring and began circling Lita, like wild vultures after carrion. They had her cornered, and even when she begged them not to hurt her because of her neck, they didn't care. All seemed hopeless for poor Lita.

Answer: Jeff Hardy

Just when it looked like certain death for Lita, Jeff Hardy ran down to the ring in defense of her. Jeff put his own body on the line in the fight with Rosey and Jamal, but unfortunately the lighter Hardy was physically no match for the two behemoths. Jeff suffered a severe beating at the hands of the twin mountains.

Answer: Booker T and Goldust

After Jeff suffered a heartwrenching beating at the hands of Rosey and Jamal, he was tossed out of the ring and landed on his back. Just then, Booker T and Goldust came to Lita's rescue. They fought the two mountains, allowing Lita to get out of harm's way.

After losing face to Booker and the Golden One, Rosey and Jamal retreated to the ramp where Bischoff was at. At that moment, Bischoff announced that Rosey and Jamal would face Booker T and Goldust right then and there. Rosey and Jamal flew to the ring and the match began in earnest.

Unfortunately, Booker T was pinned by Jamal in his hometown of Houston.

Answer: Randy Orton

Randy Orton faced off against Lance Storm. Storm, who was pinned by Kane on the previous "Raw" and caused the Un-Americans to lose the Tag Team Championships, was ridiculed by Christian because of the pin. Storm tried to prove himself in his match with Orton, but obviously he didn't try hard enough. The younger Orton, a third generation wrestler, pinned the more experienced Storm.

Answer: Randy Orton

Christian, who came to the top of the ramp and stole Jim Ross' cowboy hat, continued to ridicule his comrad. He said that Storm should stay at ringside, and watch as he gave Orton a lesson in wrestling, and the impromptu match began. To Christian's horror, and Storm's satisfaction, Orton pinned Christian. This was Orton's second match of the night, and in both he was successful.

Answer: The Big Show

To get even with Jeff for coming to Lita's rescue, Bischoff announced that Jeff would have to face The Big Show. All looked hopeless for the carefree Hardy when Show entered the ring. The two battled fiercely, with Hardy almost pinned by Show a few times. Luckily for Jeff, he hit a "Swanton Bomb" of the 500 pound man and pinned him for the win.

Answer: Bubba Ray Dudley

The WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Triple H, defended his title agaist Bubba Ray Dudley, who had waited nearly 12 years for a shot this title. Unfortunately, all went to hell in a handbasket when Ric Flair, who accompanied Triple H to the ring, attacked Bubba when he was pushed to the outside.

This allowed Triple H to gain momentum, and allowing Triple H to give Bubba the "Pedigree" for the win.

Answer: Victoria

WWE Women's Champion, Trish Stratus, defended her title against the lanky Victoria. Victoria, the stronger of the two, kept Trish at bay. But when Trish fought back with a vengeance, the match spilled to the outside of the ring, where Victoria grabbed a chair and hit a skull-cracking blow on Trish. Trish won when Victoria was disqualified for excessive force.

Answer: Kane

Before this match occurred, Tommy Dreamer and Rob Van Dam defeated William Regal and Test, two members of the Un-Americans. The WWE Intercontinental Champion, Chris Jericho, faced off against Kane, The Big Red Machine. The match was for Jericho's title, with whoever winning facing Triple H at "No Mercy" in October.

The Big Red Machine brought Jericho down a few sizes, but then Jericho reversed the situation and began chopping away at Kane's left knee. The assault on Kane's knee lasted for quite a while.

When Kane got the upper hand on Jericho, Ric Flair, who was under orders from Triple H to help Jericho, raced down and tried to interfere. Flair was eventually removed from ringside. However, that was not the only interference in this match. Towards the end of the match, Triple H ran to the ring and distracted the referee. Jericho then put The Big Red Machine in the "Walls of Jericho," hoping for a submission from him.

But Kane made it to the ropes. Then Kane climbed to the top turnbuckle and jumped at Jericho, and pinned him. Triple H, seeing Jericho in distress, and not particularly wanting to face Kane at "No Mercy," ran down to ringside again and distracted the referee, then walked back to the top of the ramp.

This allowed Jericho to grab a chair and smack Kane in the head with it. Jericho then hit the "Lionsault" on Kane, but as he did so, Kane grabbed Jericho's throat and gave him a "Chokeslam" and pinned him for the win. Much to the surprise of Triple H and Jericho, Kane became the new WWE Intercontinental Champion. Way to go Kane!
