Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which celebrity teamed with Hulk Hogan in the Main Event of the first "Wrestlemania"?

Answer: Mr. T

Mr. T was a bit nervous about the whole thing, especially since Rowdy Roddy Piper didn't really like him due to him being a non-wrestler. Mr. T almost bailed out of the whole thing, but Hulk made sure he didn't leave and was even allowed to bring his entourage with him.
Hogan claims had Mr. T successfully bailed on the whole thing, there might have never been another "WrestleMania".
2. How many different cities was "Wrestlemania 2" held in?

Answer: 3

"Wrestlemania 2" was held in three different cities:
New York at Nassau Coliseum, where Vince McMahon did commentary with Susan St. James of Kate & Allie fame, and the main event was Mr. T vs Rowdy Roddy Piper in a boxing match.
Chicago at the Rosemont Horizon (now called Allstate Arena), where Gorilla Monsoon did commentary with Mean Gene Okerlund and guest star Kathy Lee Crosby, and the main event was a battle royal containing 14 WWF superstars and 6 NFL football players.
Los Angeles at the LA Sports Arena, where Jesse "The Body" Ventura, Lord Alfred Hayes, and Elvira did commentary, and the main event, and final match of the night, was Hulk Hogan vs King Kong Bundy in a Steel Cage for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship.
3. At "Wrestlemania III", King Kong Bundy was in a mixed match with two midget wrestlers against Hilbilly Jim and two other midget wrestlers. Which one of the midget wrestlers in the match did Bundy attack?

Answer: Little Beaver

King Kong Bundy caught Little Beaver, body slammed him, then dropped an elbow on him (he was misreported as having splashed him), getting him and his team disqualified.

Reportedly, Bundy only dropped the elbow because everyone was supposed to get between him and Beaver to stop him after the body slam, but were late in doing so, and if he hesitated too long, it would've been obvious. Bundy has felt regret for it, as it caused Beaver to retire from in-ring action afterwards and may have contributed to his death in 1995.
4. At "Wrestlemania IV", who did "Million Dollar Man" Ted DiDiase have in his corner in the finals for the WWF Heavyweight Championship against Randy "Macho Man" Savage?

Answer: Andre the Giant

According to the storyline, DiBiase bought the rights to have Andre at ringside with him, and he interfered as much as possible until Savage had Elizabeth go in the back and come out with Hulk Hogan to even it up. Hogan would eventually sneak in when the ref wasn't looking and hit DiBiase with a chair in the back to help Savage win the then-vacant WWF World Heavyweight Championship.
King Kong Bundy did not appear at "Wrestlemania 4" at all.
Virgil was at DiBiase's side for his first round match, but was gone after Hulk Hogan suplexed him onto the floor when he and DiBiase interfered in his match against Andre.
The Big Boss Man was not with the company yet at this time.
5. Which superstar beat The Ultimate Warrior for the Intercontinental Championship at "Wrestlemania V"?

Answer: Ravishing Rick Rude

Ravishing Rick Rude, with the help of Bobby "The Brain" Heenan, pinned The Ultimate Warrior to win the Intercontinental Championship from him and hand him his first loss in the WWF.
The Honky Tonk Man is who The Ultimate Warrior won the title from at the previous "SummerSlam" and never challenged for the title again.
Jake "The Snake" Roberts never held a title while with the WWF/E.
Mr. Perfect had a match that night against The Blue Blazer (Owen Hart) and had nothing to do with the Intercontinental Championship until after "Wrestlemania 6"
6. At "Wrestlemania VI", what did Bobby "The Brain" Heenan do to Andre the Giant to make him mad and turn on him?

Answer: slapped him

Bobby yelled and argued with Andre after he and Haku lost the WWF World Tag Team Championships to Demolition. Andre did nothing but try to explain, despite Heenan yelling, poking him in the chest, lifting his head...but when he slapped Andre, that did it! Andre yelled at and manhandled Heenan, then stopped Haku from interfering.

After that he kicked both of them out of the cart that brought superstars to and from the ring and rode it back by himself.
7. Did Randy "Macho Man" Savage and Elizabeth reunite at "Wrestlemania VII"?

Answer: Yes

Randy "Macho King" Savage (as he was called then) was aligned with Sensational "Queen" Sherri when he challenged The Ultimate Warrior to a career-ending match. The match was a grueling but well planned out match that Savage lost, infuriating Sherri to the point she started taking it out on Savage. Meanwhile Elizabeth, who was in the audience watching, couldn't take it anymore and ran into the ring to throw Sherri out of it.

Afterwards, she made her plea that she really loved him, and they reunited in a big hug.

A moment that turned on the "water-works" for most of the WWF fan base.
8. Who was Ric Flair originally supposed to defend the WWF Heavyweight Championship against at "Wrestlemania VIII"?

Answer: Hulk Hogan

This was supposed to be the "dream match", but apparently it got changed to a "double main event" in which Hulk Hogan wrestled Sid Justice (in his first "Wrestlemania" match where Hogan neither held nor was fighting for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship), and Ric Flair faced Randy "Macho Man" Savage for the WWF Heavyweight Championship.
The storyline was that Sid Justice lobbied to fight Hogan and got it. The real story is unknown why the dream match never happened.
9. Hulk Hogan won the WWF Heavyweight Championship at "Wrestlemania IX".

Answer: True

Hulk Hogan's scheduled match at the event was a tag team match with Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake against Money Inc. ("Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase and Irwin R. Schyster) for the WWF Tag Team Championship, which they almost won when the referee changed the rules and would've awarded Hogan and Beefcake the titles if Money Inc. got counted out. Eventually Money Inc. won by disqualification and kept the titles. however, Hulk Hogan came out after Yokozuna won the WWF Heavyweight Championship from Bret "Hit Man" Hart, and Mr. Fuji goaded Hogan to come in and face Yokozuna for the title, which Hogan agreed to with Bret's blessing. Hogan won after Mr. Fuji tried to hit him in the eyes with salt, much like he did earlier with Bret, and Hogan dropped the leg and pinned him for the 1-2-3.
10. What type of match debuted at "Wrestlemania X"?

Answer: ladder match

The first ever ladder match was held at "Wrestlemania X" against Shawn Michaels and Razer Ramon to determine who was the real Intercontinental Champion. Despite having Diesel at his side, Shawn Michaels failed to capture the Intercontinental Championship and Razor Ramon prevailed.
