God told the Israelites,"Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength." He also told them to teach their children who He was, so that every generation would know. (Deuteronomy 6:4-5)

Answer: a male and a female

God told Noah to gather a male and female of every animal on earth before the floods came. God wanted a male and female, that way they could reproduce when the floods were over. Noah obeyed and took all the animals with his family on the ark. (Genesis 7:16)

Answer: lions

Some evil men made a law that made it illegal to pray to anyone except the king. Anyone who disobeyed would be thrown into a pit of lions. Daniel knew it was dangerous, but he opened his window and prayed anyway to God three times a days, just as he always had.

When Daniel was thrown into the lions den, God sent an angel and shut the lions mouths. The king praised God when he saw that Daniel was alive the next morning. He commanded everyone in the kingdom to pray to Daniel's God instead of him, because Daniel's God had saved him from the lions. (Daniel 6)

Answer: An angel

Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were Daniel's friends. They had to make a choice to serve God when the king made an idol and commanded everyone to worship it. Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego knew that anyone who did not bow to the idol when the music was played would be killed.

However they chose not to and the king was furious. He threw them into a fiery furnace to be burned! However after the king threw them in, he saw four men in the fire and the fourth looked like the son of God! It was an angel.

He called the three out and there was not any sign of harm on them. They didn't even smell like smoke! (Daniel 3)

Answer: Goliath

David went to visit his brother in the army and found them all hiding from a giant named Goliath. Goliath made David angry because he was saying bad things about God and the army. David told King Saul that he would battle him, but he was just a boy. The king offered David his own armor, but David could not use it.

Instead he used his slingshot that had killed a bear and a lion, then went to the river and got five smooth stones. When he faced the giant, he slung his sling and one rock hit him right in the head. Goliath fell down dead and David became a hero! (1 Samuel 17:38-54)

God formed all the animals, plants, land, and waters in six days. However there was no one to take care of them. So He took some dirt and formed a man in His own image. He breathed into him and Adam became a living being. (Genesis 2:5-7)

Answer: He was coming back to give every man their reward.

The book of Revelation was telling 7 churches to be ready for God to come back. God was going to give every man a reward according to how he had lived. Some would get to live in heaven and others would have a terrible future. There would be plagues, bad weather, wars, and judgment. Those who had served God faithfully would not have to go through it and would live with God forever. (Revelations 22:12)

The New Testament is a series of books that were written by Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, James, Peter, Jude, and Paul. Some of the men wrote the books from prison because they had been persecuted for telling others about Jesus. Paul wrote the majority of books as letters to churches. Many of his letters were written from prison.

2 Timothy 3:16 says, "All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right."

Answer: Evil

The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, meekness, and self-control. There is not any law against these things because they are qualities that every person should have. God gives us these qualities when we have His Spirit living inside us. They keep us from doing evil and also help us treat others the way He loves us. (Galatians 5:22)

Answer: two pieces of stone

God wrote the 10 commandments on two pieces of stone for Moses to give to the Israelites. They included:

1. Do not worship any other gods.
2. Do not make any idols.
3. Do not misuse the name of God.
4. Keep the Sabbath holy.
5. Honor your mother and father.

7. Do not commit adultery.
