My mother was the first woman! God saw that my father Adam was very lonely because all the other animals and creatures had a partner. So God formed her from one of my dad's ribs while he was asleep. My father named her "Eve" because she was the "mother of all living". Their story is found in the book of Genesis. (Genesis 2)

The priest blessed my mother and told her God heard her request. When I was born, my mother gave me to God as she had promised. I learned the scriptures and became a great prophet. (1 Samuel 1)

My mother was Queen Bathsheba. She was married to a solider who died in battle. Later King David married her. I had many wicked brothers who tried to take over the kingdom, but my mother taught me to love God like my father King David did. When my father was dying, she went to him with the prophet and reminded him of his promise to make me king. My father remembered his promise and blessed me as king of all Israel. I became the wisest king in the Bible! (1 Kings 1:1 - 2:46)

My mother is Elisabeth. Before I was born an angel appeared to my father the priest and told him to name me John. My father was shocked because he and my mother were very old. Because he did not believe, the angel took away his ability to speak until I was born. People tried to convince my mom to name me after one of my close relatives, but when I was born she told them my name was John.

When they named me John, God allowed my father to speak again! It was a miracle. I became the prophet who preached to people about the coming of the Messiah. (Luke 1:5-25)

My mother was very young when an angel appeared unto her and told her to fear not! The angel told my mother that she would have a baby with the Spirit of God. The angel told her to name me Jesus, because I would save my people from their sins. My mother had to go through a very difficult journey with my stepfather Joseph. The night I was born, the angels sang "Glory to God in the highest and peace and goodwill towards men!" Not everyone knew how special my birth was, but shepherds and wise men came to celebrate my birthday.
