Answer: Goliath
Goliath was the most feared warrior of the Philistine army, and the Philistines were at war with King Saul and his army. Goliath kept taunting the Israelites and saying that they were all too afraid to fight him. Only young David, who was a shepherd boy, stepped forward to take him on and killed Goliath with a shot from his sling.

The Queen of Sheba is thought to have been from the area now known as Ethiopia. She visited King Solomon with a large entourage and much splendour. They exchanged lavish gifts.
3. Abraham
Answer: Isaac
Abraham and Sarah had their son Isaac when they were already quite old and Abraham loved him so much that God decided to test him. He gave instructions that Isaac was to be sacrificed to Him, and Abraham was about to kill his son when a messenger from God appeared and stopped him. Abraham saw a ram close by and so sacrificed it instead.

Martha and Mary were sisters and when Jesus visited their house Martha was working hard to prepare a meal for them while Mary just sat and listened to Jesus. Martha was angry and told Mary that she should help, but Jesus said that Mary was right to listen to his teachings because he would not always be with them.

The Israelites were under the rule of the Philistines, and Samson was a very strong man whose strength was because his hair had never been cut. Unfortunately, he fell in love with a Philistine woman, Delilah, and told her that the secret of his great strength was in his hair.
When he was sleeping she got a servant to cut his hair off, and he was overpowered and sent as a prisoner to Gaza.

Adam and Eve were the first people that Good created. God made Adam first but because Adam was lonely he then made Eve from one of Adam's ribs. They lived in a beautiful place called the Garden of Eden, but were told not to eat from one tree in the garden.
The devil tempted Eve and she ate the fruit and gave some to Adam. After that they were cast out and had to work for their living.
7. Ruth
Answer: Naomi
Ruth was Naomi's daughter-in-law, and when both their husbands died Naomi decided to return home to her own land. Ruth insisted on going with her. In the new land she met a relative of Naomi's and they fell in love and married.
8. John the Baptist
Answer: Salome
John the Baptist was a prisoner of King Herod Antipas. Salome was the king's stepdaughter and when she danced at a feast Herod was so pleased with her that he said that she could have anything she wanted. Prompted by her mother, whose marriage John had preached against, Salome asked for John the Baptist's head. The king reluctantly granted her request.
9. Cain
Answer: Abel
Cain and Abel were the eldest sons of Adam and Eve. Cain was a farmer and Abel was a shepherd. They made sacrifices to God and He was more pleased with Abel's sacrifice because it was the best that Abel had. Cain was jealous and he killed his brother for which he was punished by never being able to grow crops again.

Jacob and Esau were the twin sons of Isaac and Rebecca. One day Esau came home hungry after a hunting trip, and Jacob had a pot of stew on the fire. Esau asked for some of the stew and Jacob said that he would give him some in exchange for his birthright. Esau was born before Jacob and so had the right to an extra share in Isaac's fortune when he died. Esau put his immediate needs first and sold his birthright.
