Rikki played some feminine cuteness on Lewis and snatched all the money in his wallet. So Lewis had a little sweet revenge.

What was truly beautiful about this scene is what followed. Rikki knew that Lewis loved Cleo, even if he was unwilling to admit it. So once again, she nudges him toward Cleo by saying that the locket meant a lot to Cleo, and that got his interest. You might say she was using him, but in a good way.

Answer: "What?"

It was just before moonrise, and Will had stopped by to speak with Bella. She quickly stepped outside with him. When Lewis stammered, "Does she even realize what we're trying to do here?" Rikki, standing there with her arms folded, said, "She loses it every time he's around. I've never known anyone so reckless."

Now at that moment, Cleo turned to look at Rikki - a gesture to the word "reckless". Rikki, seeing her look, and before Cleo could say anything, retorted, "What?"

I always felt that what made Rikki so cute in the first two seasons was her playfulness. Being the "manageress" of the new JuiceNet, now her namesake, and now the water-tentacle situation, made Rikki a lot more serious in Season 3.

What I was very impressed with was a unique kind of relationship with Rikki and Will. He loves Rikki not as a girlfriend, but as his heroine - the sister he doesn't have in Sophie.

Answer: "Do you know anything about mermaids?"

That is my most favourite scene in the first episode! I love the look on Rikki's face when she mocks Cleo.

Answer: "Well, it might rain."

Yes, it might rain. Indoors? Okay, that's... that's... unlikely.

Bella was expected, and Cleo was definitely not prepared for Will at that moment. It was certainly a very awkward moment when Will was standing at the bedroom door with that water orb floating just above the doorway out of sight. For a tense moment, Cleo and Rikki tried smile their pretty faces to keep his attention while they thought of what to do. Just then Bella walked in downstairs and they could send him down to meet her.

Answer: "Okay, coming right up. No need to get 'mad'."

The secondary plot here in "Sink or Swim" had Rikki at her playful best, trying to get Lewis' goat. Lewis figured out what she was doing very quickly and deliberately held his cool. But Rikki was obsessed with proving that he could crack, and Cleo talked him into faking an outburst over the drink.

But even in the primary plot, Rikki couldn't resist a match-making opportunity when Emma tried to make excuses about swim coaching Byron:

"And he's just got those big, brown sleepy eyes."

And Rikki is just gorgeous to watch, isn't she? I love her facial expressions.

Answer: "I didn't say there was attraction: I said there was 'chemistry'."

Here's Rikki at it again with Emma, this time over Ash. Emma was getting frustrated over Ash and Rikki thought it was cute. That Ash could really press Emma's buttons, as Cleo put it, Rikki decided that there was 'chemistry'.

Rikki the match-maker would later tell Ash to, "Be bold."

Answer: "The moon is silver. I like silver."

The most obvious line missing from that episode is a remark about Cleo singing. Emma and Rikki must have just plain forgotten what happened to Cleo before. And Ash was sitting downstairs! It would have really gone bananas if Cleo had started her siren singing. But, she never got wet.

Nevertheless - the moon is silver - I like silver.

Answer: "If you want the biscuits, you can just have them."

Don Sertori deliberately tried to scare Elliot when he was taking Kim out:

"Going on a date, with one of my daughters... that's a very serious thing, young man. You treat her right, or your life will be as miserable as a hunk of fish bait. Got it?"

That's when Cleo said, "That was so mean, Dad."

Answer: "You poor thing. Don't worry. The nightmares will stop in a day or two."

Rikki could always see through people, and she knew exactly how to read Nate. This was the deciding moment when Bella had gained Rikki's friendship.

Answer: "Am I that no one else?"

Although they had known each other since kindergarten, Cleo finally had to tell Lewis that she was interested in him. Rikki had been playing match-maker all along, and Louise (and later Max) tried to convince Lewis that he really loved Cleo.

What a perfectly beautiful couple meant for each other.

Season 2 - Cleo decides that she loves Lewis.
Season 3 - Cleo affirms that she loves Lewis.
Season 4 - Cleo marries Lewis? We're anticipating.
