Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Jigglypuff:

Answer: Roudoudou

doux means soft and also sweet, and kind of chubby.
2. Gengar:

Answer: Ectoplasma

I guess you'll get why they call him ectoplasma. The other words are gum disease, ginger and turmeric.
3. Eevee:

Answer: Evoli

This Pokemon is very popular here in Europe. Seriously cute. You can win him in those claw games at the arcade.
4. Blastoise:

Answer: Tortank

Funny his name looks more French than the French equivalent. Ballisto is a granola bar, tortaruga is a tortoise in Italian, and turtleheads are what Bill Cosby was afraid of getting his toes bitten by when he was little!
5. Nidoking:

Answer: Nidoking

They kept the same name for this guy.
6. Meowth:

Answer: Miaouss

I like this one.
7. Snorlax:

Answer: Ronflex

ronfler= to snore in French.
8. Venusaur:

Answer: Florizarre

Once again, the English version sounds more French than the French version. We can't figure this one out.
9. Charmander:

Answer: Salameche

10. Charmeleon:

Answer: Reptincel

He has sparks on his tail, and etincelle means sparks...this is the only thing we can figure.
11. Charizard:

Answer: Dracofeu

This guy is really popular here too.
12. Weezing:

Answer: Smogogo

13. Arcanine:

Answer: Arcanin

They kept the same name but made it masculine.
14. Psyduck:

Answer: Psykokwak

Strange, don't you think?
15. Pikachu:

Answer: Pikachu

They had to keep his name sacred!
