Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. My book signing that occurred before the school year, at Flourish and Blotts bookshop in Diagon Alley - what time was my signing?

Answer: In the afternoon, from 12:30 until 4:30

Ah! I DO hope you got this question correct, especially those who witnessed! It WAS a rather interesting afternoon, with some fathers of some boys in this class (not mentioning any names, Mr Ronald Weasley or Mr Draco Malfoy! Tsk tsk!) getting into a rather, rogue brawl, shall we shall. Anyhow, my photograph was taken with Mr Harry Potter, whereafter the photo was in the Evening Prophet. You all saw it, I hope? Dear me, I have been babbling for a bit! Let us move on, shall we?
2. In regards to my book signing, I gave a signed copy of my autobiography to Mr Harry Potter after our photo was taken, you all remember that, ey? So, what was my autobiography named?

Answer: magical me

Yes! "Magical Me"! I DID think that was a rather appropriate title, considering all the WONERFUL things I have done. Well, not to blow one's own trumpet, but I HAVE accomplished quite a lot. If you haven't read my book, which I'm sure most people have, then you can find out all the amazing things I've done and how I've coped with the pressure of being such a well-known and in-the-spotlight wizard. Celebrity is as celebrity does, I've always said that.
3. Ah... one of my favourite questions, this is! Bonus marks for whoever gets this one right! What coloured robes was I wearing on the day of my book signing?

Answer: Forget-me-not blue

Yes! I'm hoping EVERYONE got this right, especially since I wore the forget-me-not blue shade to match my eyes! And, well, as the name very well states, my eyes ARE quite spectacular! They are the colour of the sky on a beautiful day mixed with the gentle lull of the ocean waves - dear me, I'm rambling again!
4. Well then, moving on shall we! How many of my wondrous books were required and on this year's booklist? (Bonus points if you can name them all, har har!)

Answer: 7

I know, it IS a shame that only seven were required... but nevertheless, you can still find my complete collection of over 20 works in Hogwarts very well equipped library! All books are personally signed by me in a very rare gold ink from the mountains of Nigera... so be sure to have a read of them, alrighty!
5. Now, not to brag, but we ARE all able to recognise that my abilities on Quidditch pitch are quite phenomenal! Now, what position did I excel at?

Answer: Seeker

That's right! I was a speedy thing, flitting from here to there chasing the Golden Snitch! Oh, I WAS a marvel... but you never know, you still may see me playing for some team within the next few years! This old (har har!) wizard still has a few miles left, ey! Gosh, though, I'd better approach the clubs quietly... if I let the whole world know that I was set to play Quidditch again, I'd have offers from Hogwarts to London long! Har har, ey!
6. Students, I am sure you will all remember when I brought those speedy young Cornish Pixies into class. Yes, well, er - quite an... UNUSUAL experience that was, shall we say... so back to the question, what colour were these pixies?

Answer: Blue

Yes, even though they were not the most well behaved Cornish Pixies I have ever come across, I thought they had to be discussed! Do you all remember in 'Voyages with Vampires' when I came across those naughty Pixies in Romania, on my way back from my epic Vampire adventure? Yes, that old lady had the Cornish Pixies cluttering up her attic and garden... but lucky for her, I saved the day! And - oh, yes, the exam...
7. Ah... yes we all know, I am a bit of a fan with the ladies, even if I DO say so myself! Har har! Well then, can anyone tell me how many Valentines I received this year?

Answer: 46

Yes, well, what can I say? Though I must admit, trying to reply to all of those letters every year is quite a task! God bless you all, my sweet beauties!
8. In regards to Valentines and letters and RETURNING letters also, what coloured ink do I use when replying to my adoring fans?

Answer: Lilac

Ah, yes, lilac! A beautiful colour, don't you think? Chosen for my loving fans because, well, it IS my favourite colour (I say so in 'Year with a Yeti'), and my fans deserve the best! Almost as good as me! And so, a special mention goes out to Veronica Smethley, a big fan of mine!
9. Can you tell me who my GREATEST fan is?

Answer: Gladys Gudgeon

Well, I'd actually be surprised if anyone DIDN'T know the answer to that one, what with all her dedications to me in Hogsmeade! God bless her! And for anyone who got that WRONG, you SHOULD get marks taken OFF, as you would have looked at these name every day for last year! Yes, Miranda Goshawk writes 'The Standard Book of Spells' for Grades 1 to 7, Emeric the dear lady wrote 'A Beginner's Guide to Transfiguration', and Phyllida that beauty wrote "One Thousand Magical Herbs and Fungi", which, Professor Sprout tells me, you still use in your second year!
10. When I offered a signed copy of "Magical Me" to the person who could best write a poem about the adventures in one of my books, which book was it?

Answer: 'Wandering with Werewolves' (about the Wagga Wagga werewolf)

And now, students, you will have reached the end of your exam. I certainly hope you were paying attention throughout the year, to enable you to answer all these very important questions! No doubt you will all be sending me large quantities of fan mail very soon, so I look forward to receiving it and wish you all the best for your future years at Hogwarts. Goodbye and good luck! ~ (Sir) Gilderoy Lockhart (Winner of WITCH WEEKLY's Most-Charming-Smile award five weeks in a row)
