Fanny is the youngest and Jo is the oldest. In the original books they are called Jo, Bessie and Fanny. In modern reprints they are called Joe, Beth and Frannie.

2. What is the name of the land where you can eat all kinds of yummy food?

Answer: The Land of Goodies

It is a delicious land where everything is made out of food. Dick is very naughty and eats a sugary knocker, so he is kept in the angry man's house till the others leave.

3. What did the children have to give Moon-Face, to go down his slippery-slip the first time?

Answer: Toffee

The children didn't have toffee with them, only chocolate, but Moon-Face didn't want chocolate. The next time they came up the tree, Bessie made some delicious toffee for him.

4. What is the name of the old dame who loves to wash?

Answer: Dame Washalot

Dame Washalot is a nice but annoying lady who is always sending dirty water down the tree from her washing. She pays baby squirrels to sit on her clothes till they dry.

He was a naughty and greedy boy. He came to stay because his mother was sick and couldn't look after him.
