Earlier in the story, the Undertaker was going to physically abuse Rachel and Max intervened and took her because Rachel's mother told him to. Max was going to take her to Gram and Grim's house, but the Undertaker was there with the police saying that Max kidnapped Rachel. Max and Rachel hitched a ride with Dip and that was when they started heading down the road on their way to Chivalry City in Montana.
6. What city in Montana were Max and Rachel trying to get to?

Answer: Chivalry

Max and Rachel were trying to get to Chivalry City in Montana because that was where Rachel's biological father lived. Max was under the impression that Rachel's father was still alive and that he could help Rachel with the problems she was having with her stepfather.

When they finally got to Chivalry, the city was abandoned and that was when Max found out that Rachel's father was a miner and he died a few years ago while inside a mine.

9. When Max and Rachel arrived in the city they were trying to get to, what did Max call the city?

Answer: Ghost town

When Rachel and Max arrived in Chivalry City, Max noticed that the city was abandoned and then he called it a ghost town. Pretty soon, Max found out that Rachel's biological father was dead and then a police officer and the Undertaker came in and tried to take Rachel back.

While they were inside a mine, the Undertaker got trapped, and he accidentally blurted out the truth that he was abusive and that Max did not kidnap Rachel.
