The Hardy Boys have appeared in various book series and have had their older novels revised for the present day. Their personalities also change to fit the time.

"The Westing Game" is considered to be one the classics in children's mystery novels. The main character is a young girl named Turtle who has disinterested parents. Turtle is very friendly and lives in Sunset Apartments with the other heirs. After Samuel Westing dies in mysterious circumstances, the heirs are divided into pairs to solve a mystery and collect the fortune. Each pair receives a different word clue and $10,000 for spending expenses.
