2. How is the possession of the ball decided between the two teams?

Answer: Toss up

A toss up is where the umpire throws up a ball between two of the players to detremine who will hold possesion of the ball at the start of the game. Whoever catches the ball first wins possession.
3. In a game of netball, players wear bibs displaying their position. If the letters "GK" were on a bib, what is that player's position?

Answer: Goal Keeper

A goal keeper protects their goal from attacking players.
4. In a game, which one of the following positions is allowed in the goal circle?

Answer: Goal attack

Goal attack and goal shooter work together to shoot the netball into the net, while goal keeper and goal defence work together to prevent the opposition from scoring. These four positions are the only ones allowed in the goal circle.
5. What is a netball pitch divided up into?

Answer: Thirds

There are three thirds on the netball pitch, the center third, the attacking third and the defending third. These thirds help to show where certain players can't go.
6. In netball, these four things are FORBIDDEN: Footwork, Contact, Obstruction and Bounce pass.

Answer: False

Although the first three are forbidden, a bounce pass is not and is a good way to confuse your opponents. In the bounce pass the ball is only allowed to bounce once.
7. My team has possession of the ball. I am playing Centre; where on the court do I start?

Answer: In the centre circle

The centre circle is a small circle in the middle of the court.
8. What happens if you move more than one step with the ball during the game?

Answer: The opposition gains possesion

Moving more than one step with the ball in netball is forbidden so players have to work together as a team to pass the ball around the court avoiding the opposition who are trying to gain possession of the ball.
9. What is the job of the umpire in netball?

Answer: All of these

In a game of netball there is only one umpire who is in charge of all of the game.
10. How close can the opposition mark players from the other team?

Answer: 1 metre

The person marking a player can go as close as 1 metre to them, if they go any closer than it is called obstruction, which is against the rules. If this happens the player who commited obstruction, must stand by the player they obstructed and not mark them until they pass the ball.
