The animals all go to Badger's sett, where they discuss what is happening to them. Toad arrives last and tells them of his adventure to a place of safety.

2. After escaping the farmer, the animals rest in a copse. Baby Rabbit gets caught in a snare; how does he get free?

Answer: Mole digs under the peg.

Owl tells Mole to dig under the peg, and he pushes it out. Owl then tells Fox he should have looked around the copse before they rested.

Adder bites the horse's leg, causing it to rear and fall backwards, saving Vixen, who runs to the waiting animals. Vixen decides she WILL become Fox's mate, as he tried to save her by heading off the hounds.
