Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which of the Black sisters is the oldest?

Answer: Bellatrix

Bellatrix, Andromeda and Narcissa were born in 1951, 1953 and 1955, respectively. They were raised in the belief of Pureblood superiority and are related to most of the old wizarding families. All three were in Slytherin, although Andromeda was the only one not to support Lord Voldemort and the dark arts.
2. The Black sisters' parents were Phines Nigellus Black and Druella Rosier.

Answer: False

Their parents were Cygnus Black III and Druella Rosier.
3. Of the three sisters, how many had children who were featured in the first seven books of the "Harry Potter" series?

Answer: Two

Narcissa had a son called Draco who had a strong rivalry with Harry Potter. And Andromeda had a daughter named Nymphadora, who died in 1998 along with her husband, Remus Lupin. Both were strong supporters of Harry Potter, naming him the godfather of their son Ted.
4. Andromeda was disowned by her family in the 1970s; why?

Answer: She married a muggle-born wizard

Andromeda married muggle-born wizard, Ted Tonks, with whom she had a daughter, Nymphadora. They were married for about twenty years, before Ted was killed in the early days of the second wizarding war.
5. To which of these families are the Black sisters not related directly by marriage?

Answer: Weasley

Bellatrix married Rodolphus Lestrange, Narcissa married Lucius Malfoy and Andromeda married Ted Tonks. Only Narcissa's marriage was still intact by the end of the seventh book however, as Ted and Bellatrix had both been killed.
6. Andromeda raised her grandson Teddy, with some help from his godfather. Who was his godfather?

Answer: Harry Potter

Teddy Remus Lupin was born in April, 1998 and spent a lot of time with his godfather, Harry. He dated his godfather's niece, Victoire Weasley ,in 2017. Although he was an orphan like Harry, both Teddy's parents having been killed in the Battle of Hogwarts, he was surrounded by a loving circle of family and friends, unlike Harry's loveless childhood.
7. Narcissa's son, Draco, had two cronies, Crabbe, and Goyle. Which one of these died in the seventh book?

Answer: Crabbe

Crabbe was killed in 1998 by the Fiendfyre he had created to kill Harry, Ron and Hermione in the Room of Requirement. His father, Mr Crabbe, was a death eater. In 1996 he was a member of Delores Umbridge's "Inquisitorial Squad" along with Malfoy and Goyle. Both Crabbe and his friend Goyle were very large and strong, and they became beaters on the Slytherin Quidditch team in 1996.
8. Bellatrix was married to Rodolphus Lestrange; what was the couple's shared designation?

Answer: Death-Eaters

Bellatrix and Rodolphus were Lord Voldemort's most faithful followers. When Voldemort returned, both Bellatrix and Rodolphus escaped from Azkaban, the Wizard Prison, and went to aid their master. After the battle of the Department of Mysteries, Rodolphus was presumably captured and sent back to Azkaban, whilst Bellatrix remained free.
9. Andromeda's daughter and grandson are both naturals at what magical ability?

Answer: Changing their appearance at will

Both Nymphadora and Teddy are natural metamorphmaguses. This means they can change their appearances at will. When Teddy was born, his hair was ginger, but within an hour it had turned a dark brown. In a photo, a short time later, he was shown as a chubby little boy with bright turquoise hair.

At No. 12 Grimmauld Place, Nymphadora amuses Hermione and Ginny, by changing her nose into funny shapes.
10. All the sisters have died by the end of the seventh book.

Answer: False

Only Bellatrix is dead, having been killed by Molly Weasley in a duel. Although Andromeda's husband is dead, she is still alive, and raises her grandson, Teddy. Narcissa, her husband and son are all still alive, and all are alive in 2017.
