Xenophilius Lovegood is Luna's father, Arthur Weasley is Ron's father, Frank Longbottom is Neville's father and Abraxas Malfoy is Draco's grandfather. Harry meets the Longbottoms in the St Mungo's permanent ward when visiting Mr Weasley who was suffering from a snake bite but was not in the permanent ward.

They also came across Gilderoy Lockhart, their former DADA professor who suffered a backfired memory charm in 'Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets'.

Armando Dippet was headmaster of Hogwarts when Tom Riddle came to school. When Tom was still in the orphanage he took two kids into a cave where he was later to hide a horcrux. One of those two kids was Dennis Bishop, who was claimed to never be the same again. Phineas Nigellus was Sirius's great great grandfather. Remus Lupin taught Harry's DADA classes for one year.

He was a werewolf. You find out about the cave incident in the fifth book, 'Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix' when Harry goes through memories in Dumbledore's Pensieve.

They destroyed the goblet, the diary, and the locket. Neville killed Nagini with Gryffindor's sword. Dumbledore got rid of Gaunt's ring and Crabbe fired the curse that destroyed the Diadem. A lot of Horcrux action happens in 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows' but Harry destroys the diary earlier, in 'Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets'.

Every one can see Hogwarts except Muggles, who only see the ruins of an old castle. A squib is a person who is born from wizarding parents but has no wizarding abilities at all. The Hogwarts care-taker Argus Filch is a squib, as Harry finds out in 'Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets'.

Protego Horribilus, Salvio Hexia, and Peirtotum Locomotor are all protective curses. Muffliato fills the ears of the people around you so that you can have private conversations. While camping out during Harry, Ron, and Hermione's hunt for horcruxes, Hermione Granger uses the Muffliato spell which Harry first finds in the Half-Blood Prince's (Severus Snape's) old potions book.
