Dudley Dursley is Harry's cousin, since their mothers are sisters. Dudley is the only child of Vernon and Petunia Dursley and is very spoiled. Dudley's parents are treating Harry as if he is some kind of vermin and this affects Dudley. Therefore, Dudley and his gang bully Harry during their childhood and Dudley is the leader of the gang. Even though Dudley is a muggle, he comes in near contact with magic several times during his childhood.

Ron Weasley is the sixth and youngest son of Arthur and Molly Weasley. Ron's two eldest brothers live abroad where Bill works for Gringotts in Egypt and Charlie studies dragons in Romania. James Potter gives his son, Harry, his name as Harry's middle name, so Harry's full name is Harry James Potter. The other three Marauders (Sirius Black, Remus Lupin and Peter Pettigrew) are James's best friends up until his death in 1981. James Potter and his friends, Sirius and Peter, learn how to turn into animals during their time at Hogwarts, where James turn into a stag. James marries Lily, and both of them are murdered by Voldemort after Peter reveals their location to Voldemort. Harry ends up naming two of his children after his parents.

Voldemort is born Tom Marvolo Riddle, Tom Riddle after his father and Marvolo after his maternal grandfather. While at Hogwarts, Tom Riddle decides to try to defeat death by creating horcruxes. This requires murdering someone in order for your soul to split; when Voldemort tries to murder Harry the spell backfires and a part of Voldemort's soul enters Harry.

Afterwards, Voldemort lives without a body for 13 years until Wormtail performs an ancient spell containing a bone of the father unknowingly given (Tom Riddle), blood of the enemy forcibly taken (Harry) and flesh of the servant willingly sacrificed (Wormtail) to recreate Voldemort's body. Voldemort dies in 1998 after Harry and his friends destroy all Voldemort's horcruxes.

Answer: Neville Longbottom

Neville Longbottom has been raised by his grandmother after his parents were landed in the hospital during the First Wizarding War. Neville has a toad named Trevor. Neville is afraid of Professor Snape but excels at herbology, which he ends up teaching when he grows up. Neville starts out very clumsy and forgets just about everything, but about 1995 he really shows the bravery of the Gryffindor Lion and plays a big part in the Second Wizarding War. Neville is a Gryffindor and rooms with Harry, Ron, Seamus and Dean.

Dobby is a house-elf belonging to the Malfoy family, which he serves until Lucius Malfoy mistakenly frees him. After being freed from the Malfoys, Dobby takes up working in the kitchens beneath Hogwarts. Since Harry is the one who "defeated" Voldemort in the First Wizarding War, Dobby feels a need to protect Harry, which increases after Harry tricks Lucius into freeing Dobby.

This urge to protect Harry actually brings Harry into dangerous positions when Dobby is working for the Malfoys, but after he is freed he succeeds in helping Harry. Dobby is killed while helping Harry, Ron Hermione, Luna, Ollivander and Griphook escape from Malfoy Manor in "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows".

Answer: Dumbledore

Dumbledore's full name is Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore, and he was over 100 years old at the time of his death. Dumbledore grows up in Godric's Hollow after his father is accused of murdering muggles and is sent to Azkaban. During Dumbledore's childhood he lives with his mother and his two younger siblings, Aberforth and Arianna, until Arianna is killed. Dumbledore starts fighting dark wizards after his best childhood friend, Gellert Grindelwald, turns out to be a dark wizard. Dumbledore is killed by Severus Snape in 1997 as a part of Snape's disguise, after Dumbledore was cursed by a horcrux.

Answer: Draco Malfoy

Draco Malfoy is the son of Lucius Malfoy and Narcissa Malfoy and is very self-righteous. Draco is angry with Harry from the moment Harry refuses Draco's friendship in "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone". In 1992, Draco is bought onto the Slytherin Quidditch team after his father buys the whole team Nimbus 2001 broomsticks.

In 1996 Draco Malfoy becomes a Death Eater and is given the task of murdering Dumbledore. Draco ends up marrying a girl named Astoria and having a son named Scorpius.

Rubeus Hagrid is the one who tells Harry that Harry is a wizard. Hagrid is part human and part giant, since his mother is a giant and his father a human. Hagrid was accused of opening the Chamber of Secrets, along with the murder of Moaning Myrtle, at the age of 13, which caused him to be expelled from Hogwarts.

After his expulsion, Dumbledore let Hagrid stay at Hogwarts as Keeper of Keys. He lives in a little hut on the grounds and, in 1993, gets to teach Care of Magical Creatures. In 1995, when Hagrid is sent to seek out the giants for Dumbledore, he finds out that he has a younger brother on his mother's side, who he brings back with him to live in the Forbidden Forest.

Answer: Sirius Black

Sirius Black was best friends with James Potter until James was murdered in 1981. Sirius Black is the only Gryffindor in a family of Slytherins, and feels like the odd one out in his family, which leads to him running away to the Potters at the age of 15.

While in school, Sirius learned how to become an animagus so he and James and Peter could keep Remus company when Remus turned into a werewolf. Being an animagus came in handy while being locked up in Azkaban for twelve years, after being falsely accused of murdering twelve muggles and Peter Pettigrew. Since the Dementors can't sense animals, and Sirius could turn into a dog, he could move around undetected. Turning into a dog also helped Sirius escape from Azkaban and keep himself hidden.
