Strawberries grow on small plants that produce runners - shoots that can grow new roots and produce a new plant. Wild strawberries were known to the ancient Romans, but the garden strawberry was first grown in France in the late 1700s. Depending on the recipe, it may be made with a mixture of strawberries and rhubarb, or have a graham cracker crust.

Limes are generally green when picked, but Key limes are yellow. Key limes, which grow on small trees with thorns, have a stronger, more bitter taste than regular limes. Key lime pie is made with a bottom crust, a mixture of key lime juice, sweetened condensed milk, butter, sugar and egg yolks, and a meringue topping.
It can also be made with a graham cracker crust, or a whipped cream topping.

A basic custard pie is made with just a few ingredients, but, depending on the recipe, other ingredients, such as nutmeg or cinnamon, can be added. Lemons grow on small trees which are evergreens. Besides being rich in vitamin C, lemons are also high in vitamin B1 and potassium.

Answer: sweet potato

Sweet potatoes and yams are very different from each other, although people often use either name to describe both vegetables. Sweet potatoes came originally from Central or South America, and yams from Africa and Asia. Sweet potato pie is a one-crust custard pie, quite similar to a pumpkin pie, but made with mashed sweet potatoes.

The pie is often served with a marshmallow topping, or with whipped cream.

10. I am a berry, that is true, And I am quite good for you. In jams and muffins I am just right, But in a pie, I'm a blue delight. Without thorns, on shrubs I grow, Which berry am I - do you know?

Answer: blueberry

Blueberries grow on bushes, which depending on their size are called lowbush or highbush. The berries are different colors as they mature, but when fully ripe they are a dark blue. Traditional blueberry pies have a top and bottom crust, and are often served with ice cream.

There are also recipes that use a graham cracker bottom crust and no top, a bottom crust with a lattice top crust, and a bottom crust with a crumble or streusel topping.
