"The Jungle Book" follows the adventures of Mowgli, a boy left in the jungle. He is raised by the animals, including Baloo the bear, and is always escaping the danger of Shere Khan the tiger. Rudyard Kipling was influenced by his time in India, but also wrote about other cultures, including "The Just So Stories" which were based mainly in Africa.

C S Lewis wrote the Narnia stories, of which there are seven, and "The Magician's Nephew" is the first (chronologically). The most famous of the tales set in the fantastic and glorious kingdom of Narnia is "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe", which was in 2005 made into a movie, starring Liam Neeson as Aslan and Tilda Swinton as the White Witch.
