Answer: Harry Potter

Harry was born on the 31st of July; his parents were killed by Lord Voldemort, who tried to kill Harry but failed. Harry is the only wizard to have survived the killing curse. He is very good at Defence Against the Dark Arts, and starts up his own class, called Dumbledores Army.

In his seventh year, he leaves school with Ron and Hermione, going in search of Horcruxes, the key to bringing down Lord Voldemort. He eventually kills Voldemort at the end of the Battle of Hogwarts. After everything has gone back to normal, he becomes an Auror and marries Ginny Weasley.

George and Fred are the fourth and fifth children of Molly and Arthur Weasley. They are short and stocky and love practical jokes. In their fifth year, they leave school and open a joke shop, called "Weasley's Wizard Wheezes" with some money given to them by Harry. George marries Fred's old girlfriend, Angelina Johnson, and they have a daughter, Roxanne, and a son, Fred, who was named for George's brother.

Minerva McGonagall is a Scottish witch. She went to Hogwarts and was in Gryffindor House. She was a member of both the original and the new Order of the Phoenix. She is very strict, but she does sometimes show soft emotions. She has, at different points of her career, been Deputy Headmistress and Headmistress of Hogwarts. She is a registered Animagus and can turn into a tabby-cat.

Sir Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington went to Hogwarts in 1453-1460. He was beheaded after a teeth straightening spell that he was performing on a fine Lady went awry. The Executioner's blade was blunt however, so his head was not completely chopped off. He wears a ruffle to keep his head straight.

His almost headlessness stops him joining the Headless Hunt, as he can't take his head fully off.

Answer: Cho Chang

Cho is in Ravenclaw, she is the seeker for the Ravenclaw Quidditch team. She went out with Cedric Diggory, until he died. She also went out with Harry, but they drifted apart after a while. Cho's friend Marietta Edgecombe gives away the secret of the DA to Professor Umbridge. She fought in the Battle of Hogwarts and later married a muggle.

Colin has a younger brother called Dennis. They were both cut from the movies, apart from the second movie. Both their characters appear to have been replaced by an equally eager boy named Fergus. In his first year, Colin tried to sneak up to the Hospital Wing to see Harry, but was petrified by the Basilisk. He is very annoying and very friendly.

Answer: Rubeus Hagrid

Hagrid was expelled in his third year, when he was wrongfully accused of setting a monster on other students. Professor Dumbledore took pity on him however, and convinced the then headmaster, Armando Dippet, to keep Hagrid on as gamekeeper. Hagrid loves Harry, seeing him as a kindred spirit, both of them being orphans, never knowing their parents. Hagid is half giant, and has a half brother, Grawp, who is a full giant.

I am the youngest and only girl of the seven children of Molly and Arthur Weasley. I fall in love with Harry the first time I see him, on platform 9 3/4. I married him, and now have three children, James, Albus and Lily.

Winky cared for Mr Crouch's son, Barty Crouch Jnr. but was sacked, because she had let him escape. She has a squeaky voice, large bat-like ears, and huge brown eyes. After being sacked she works in the Hogwarts Kitchens with her friend Dobby, but spends most of her time drunk on the floor, much to the shame of the other House-Elves.

Born as Tom Marvolo Riddle, his father was a muggle and his mother was a witch. His father left his mother before he was born, and his mother gave birth to him at an orphanage where he was raised, as his mother had died giving birth to him. After he left Hogwarts, he turned to the dark arts, assuming the name Lord Voldemort.

He was the most feared dark wizard in the whole history of the wizarding world.
