Only now has the compensation money started flowing to the victims, while the main culprits of the leak still go scot free.

The sizes of the notes of various denomination increased significantly as the denomination increased and the colours were more vivid and bright to make for easy recognition.

Although Mahatma Gandhi's picture appears on all the notes, they also include various other symbols of India such as the tiger, the Himalayas, etc.
