Answer: a small marsupial

The bandicoot is a small marsupial that comes in several different species. Some of these are relatively common in the southeast of Australia. Typically, bandicoots have long tails, long pointed noses and a habit of digging for grubs in suburban lawns.
2. The capital of Queensland is Brisbane. How do Australians pronounce this word?

Answer: BRIZ-b'n

Brisbane is on the east coast of Australia. There is also a Brisbane Street in Launceston, Tasmania. Brisbane was named after the Scottish-born colonial administrator, Thomas Brisbane.
3. What does "bonzer/bonza" mean?

Answer: Good

Bonzer is a "typically Australian" term that very few modern Aussies actually use. It is a term of approval; an adjective. "Hey, that's just bonzer!" "She's a bonzer sheila."
4. Which of the following names is least likely to be an Australian?

Answer: Bud

Bruce and Brian are both common among middle-aged Australian men, and Bluey is a well-known nickname for a redheaded man. There are a few Buds about, but most of them are on flowers.

A barra is a barramundi, a popular fish found in the north of Australia. Barra can grow very large.

Answer: Boronia

Brown Boronia, (Boronia megastigma) is the most strongly perfumed of the family. It is also available in pink and red varieties, as well as a greenish one.
