"Doctor Zhivago" was set in Russia during the early 20th Century during Russia's turmoil leading up to and including the Russian Civil War to 1922. It was beaten for Best Picture by "The Sound of Music".

"Dances with Wolves" (1990) was an epic Western war film which was nominated for 12 Academy Awards winning seven. "Doctor Dolittle" (1967) was an American musical film starring Rex Harrison and Samantha Eggar. The film won two Academy Awards. "Darling" was a 1965 British drama film starring Julie Christie and Dirk Bogarde. The film received five Academy Award nominations, winning three, one being Best Actress for Julie Christie.

The dingo's ancestry is debatable but it has a wild lifestyle. Its territory ranges from deserts to grasslands and edges of forests. They feed on rabbits, kangaroos and rats and are sometimes pests to livestock. There have been the odd reported attacks on humans.
