2. The Earth is home to five oceans. The largest ocean, in surface area, is the Pacific Ocean (155,557,000 square miles) that spans between the Americas and Asia, from the Southern Ocean to the Arctic Ocean. Which of the other oceans is the smallest in surface area?

Answer: Arctic

The Arctic Ocean is the smallest, in surface area, of all the oceans. It is only 14,056,000 square miles, which is just under 1/10th the size of the Pacific Ocean. Answer: Lake Michigan

On September 8, 1860 in the middle of the night, the Lady Elgin was involved in collision on Lake Michigan, with a schooner called the Augusta. The death toll is thought to be around 300-400 lives lost in the disaster.
