He combined the Latin word "vita" for life and the chemical word "amin". He realised the importance of vitamins in maintaining good health.

The Titanic, as everyone knows, sank on her maiden voyage. But how many know that Queenstown, (now called Cobh), in Ireland was her last port of call.
