Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Animals: Which F is an animal that comes in sly groups called skulks?

Answer: Fox

The collective name for a group of foxes may be seen as quite appropriate by some people. Sometimes the group is known as a "leash".
Ferrets come in groups called busyness (or business). A group of frogs is an army.
I was not able to find any collective noun for a group of flamingos. Perhaps "a prettiness" would be good?
2. Brain Teasers: (Numbers and patterns) What F is a numerical sequence that produces a smaller outcome the larger you make the number?

Answer: F-stops on a camera

The F-stop (aka F Number) is a measure of the amount of light that enters a camera lens and reaches the recording media - film or digital. There is a pattern, with each number opening up the aperture to allow twice as much light as the larger number before it.

For example, F5.6 will allow twice as much light as F8. A typical camera lens will have F-stops of 1.4, 2, 2.8, 4, 5.6, 8, 16. In each case, the smaller the number, the wider the lens aperture opens in relation to the larger number. (The caveat in all this is that shutter speed is also crucial to the amount of light reaching the film or digital device, so everything that I have said outside these brackets assumes that the shutter speed remains the same for each F-stop.)
3. Celebrities: Which F is a singer who is known as "The Queen of Soul" and earned some respect for 18 Grammy wins on her way to selling more than 75 million records?

Answer: Aretha Franklin

Aretha Franklin was born in Memphis Tennessee in March 1942. In her early career she focussed on gospel songs. In the 1960s, she moved to soul music and had hits with "Respect", "Think" and "You Make Me Feel Like A Natural Woman". According to Billboard magazine, she had 17 Top Ten pop hits and 20 Number One R&B hits.

She was the first female singer to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Answer: Fozzie Bear

Fozzie first appeared in 1976 and was voiced by Frank Oz until his retirement in 2000. Eric Jacobson took over then. Fozzie was a comedian with the catchphrase "Wocka Wocka Wocka!" Unfortunately that was as about as funny as he got, because Fozzie was a terrible comedian.
6. General Knowledge: What F was the first model of car to rack up 15 million sales?

Answer: Ford Model T

The Model T was the car that ushered in the era of mass production. In all, between 1908 and 1927, 16.5 million were sold.

Answer: France

Pont Saint-Bénézet, or as it is also known, Pont d'Avignon, was built in the 12th century to span the River Rhone. It was destroyed during a siege of the town of Avignon. Although it was rebuilt, the stone arches kept collapsing. It was so expensive to replace them that it was abandoned in the 17th century. Only four arches remain.
The bridge inspired the song "Sur le pont d'Avignon."
Altogether now:
"Sur le Pont d'Avignon
On y danse, On y danse
Sur le Pont d'Avignon
On y danse tous en rond..."
