6. "You Only Live Twice" is an English movie starring Sean Connery. Who was responsible for the screenplay? Think about Mr. Willy Wonka.

Answer: Roald Dahl

The English movie "You Only Live Twice" is a spy movie released in 1967 and is the fifth movie of the James Bond series. The film was directed by Lewis Gilbert and starred Sean Connery as James Bond, a fictional MI6 agent.

The script's first proposal was presented by Sydney Boehm, heavily based on Ian Fleming's novel of the same name, but it was rejected. Roald Dahl, although inexperienced in this activity, and a close friend of Ian Fleming, was invited to write the screenplay. Considering this book was one of the worst by the author, he discarded almost all of the plot, characters and locations in the screenplay. Some of Boehm's ideas were used and in the credits he appears as responsible for "Additional Story Material".

Answer: Theodor Seuss Geisel

"Yertle the Turtle" was written and illustrated by the American Theodor Seuss Geisel (1904-1991) known as Dr. Seuss. This story was published in an issue of Redbook Magazine in 1951, seven years before the publication of the book "Yertle the Turtle and Other Stories" in 1958.

Yertle is the king of the pond and wants to expand his kingdom; for this he orders his servants to form a pile which is topped by his throne. As the pile increases the weight becomes unbearable for Mack and the other turtles under the pile. Mack decides that he has had enough and he burps, shaking the pile, knocking over the throne and making Yertle the king of the mud. Yertle, according to the author, represents Adolf Hitler who oppressed people to have more power. In the end the author says "And the turtles, of course ... all turtles are free / As turtles, and maybe, all creatures should be".

Answer: A cap

The "yarmulke" is part of the clothing of Orthodox Jews, who cover their heads with a skullcap named "yarmulke" in Yiddish or "kippah" in Hebrew. The two words refer to the same object. There are different concepts about when to use the yarmulke. Most Orthodox Jews usually cover their heads when in religious services or in festivities, as a sign of devotion and respect for God.

Yarmulkes or kippot (the plural form of kippah) are made from different materials, of varying colors and sizes. Often the type of kippah shows allegiance to a particular group.
10. Three of these four "Y" rivers are not located in China. Which one is a Chinese river?

Answer: Yangtze

The Yangtze is the longest river in Asia and China and the third longest in the world, 6,300 km long. Its source is in the Tibetan Plateau, in the Tibet Autonomous Region. The Yangtze runs south until reaching Shigu (that means Stone Drum) in Yunnan province, where it is obstructed by Hailuo Mountain. At this point the river forms a V-shape turn, with an angle of almost 140 degrees and follows the northeast direction until it flows into the East China Sea.

The Yangtze is of paramount importance to China. About 400 million people, a third of the Chinese population, live in this river basin. It is estimated that 20% of the Chinese GDP is generated in its delta region. As some 2,700 km of the Yangtze are navigable, it is the main waterway of the country, being very important for cargo and passenger transport. On the Yangtze River is the "Three Gorges Dam'', a hydroelectric gravity dam, considered since 2012 the largest hydroelectric plant in the world in terms of installed capacity, a whopping 22.55 GW.

Simon Winchester's book "The River at the Center of the World", released in 1996, describes a very interesting ride on this river.
