Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In season 6, Rachel dated an older man named Paul Stevens, played by Bruce Willis. Willis also co-starred in the movie "The Sixth Sense". What was Willis' co-star's character's famous line?

Answer: I see dead people

Bruce Willis' character name in "The Sixth Sense" was Malcolm. Cole, his co-star was played by child-star Haley Joel Osment, who is ironically the brother of Emily Osment, another child-actor who appeared in the season 8 "Friends" episode 'TOW The Halloween Party' as Lelani Mayolanofavich, a trick-or-treater who comes to the apartment, answered by Rachel who gives her a cheque because she is out of candy and cash. Bruce Willis also co-starred in "The Whole Nine Yards" with Matthew Perry, the actor who played Chandler Bing.
2. After the "Friends" series finished, a spin-off show was released called "Joey" featuring Matt LeBlanc who had moved to LA. What is the beginning of every episode title in the Joey series?

Answer: Joey and the...

The "Joey" series began in 2004 and unfortunately only featured Matt LeBlanc. Joey supposedly moved to LA to help his career as an actor and ended up living with his sister. This series was not nearly as popular as the "Friends" series, unfortunately.
3. In season 4, Joey tries to save Monica and Rachel from being evicted by helping Mr Treeger out with his ballroom dancing skills. On-screen Ballroom dancing partners Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers strongly influenced the USA in ballroom dancing in which century?

Answer: 20th

Now this one was REALLY irrelevant..! Much of Fred and Ginger's work portrayed social dance, although their performances were highly choreographed (often by Astaire), meticulously staged, and continually rehearsed. In times past, ballroom dancing was "social dancing" for the privileged, leaving "folk dancing" for the lower classes.
4. In season four Phoebe cannot attend Ross' wedding to Emily, as she is not allowed to fly in her third trimester. Is it true or false that some airlines will not allow a pregnant woman in her third trimester to fly?

Answer: True

Many airlines have differing policies on this particular topic, although most airlines will not allow a woman who is within two weeks (or sometimes one whole month) of her due date to fly.
Some people may have differing beliefs; however the truth is that there is still much discussion and research going into whether or not pregnant women should fly at all. The debate is over the exposure and harm to the baby of radiation, and the levels of radiation while flying on a modern plane. If you want more information, I suggest searching the topic and finding out some more for yourself.
5. The actress who plays Rachel, Jennifer Aniston, was also in a movie called "The Break Up" with Vince Vaughn. Vaughn also played the part of Eddie in "Mr and Mrs Smith" alongside Brad Pitt, who was married to Jennifer Aniston. What year did this pair wed?

Answer: 2000

Ironically, after their divorce in 2005, Jennifer got together with Vince Vaughn, and Brad Pitt got together with Angelia Jolie, the actor who played Jane Smith in "Mr and Mrs Smith". Brad Pitt's real first name is William, and he played the character "Will", one of Ross' high school friends in the "Friends" episode "The One with the Rumor".
6. The "Friends" series began in 1994. On October 26 of this particular year, 1994, which two countries signed a peace treaty?

Answer: Jordan and Israel

The treaty normalized relations between the two countries and resolved territorial disputes between them. Its signing is also closely linked with the efforts to create peace between Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organization representing the Palestinian Authority.
7. In season 6, Joey dates his new room-mate Janine Lecroix, played by Elle Macpherson. What was Elle Macpherson's first main career that she became well known for, and secondly, what country was she born in?

Answer: Supermodel, Australia

Macpherson appeared in five "Friends" episodes as Joey's roommate, then girlfriend. Born in 1963, in Killara, New South Wales, Australia, Elle made her celebrity debut as a supermodel but has now appeared in several movies such as "Batman and Robin" and "The Edge".
8. The actress who plays Monica Geller, Courtney Cox-Arquette, met her husband David Arquette on the set of "Scream". Which of the following celebrity couples DID NOT get together after appearing in a film together?

Answer: Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise

According to "US Weekly", Tom Cruise just called up Katie Holmes out of the blue and asked her on a date, and that's how it started. However this does not explain how they first met. When asked by David Letterman of how the couple met, Katie was unable to give a straight answer.

Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn met on the set of "The Break Up", Brittany Murphy and Ashton Kutcher met on the set of "Just Married" and Michelle Williams and Heath Ledger met on the set of "Brokeback Mountain". All three couples started dating after acting in these movies.
9. In the season 8 episode "TOW The Birthing Video", Ross orders warm milk at Central Perk, and to save his manhood says he will add the bourbon into it when he gets home. Bourbon is a type of American whiskey made of 51% of which vegetable?

Answer: corn

The main events of this episode are Ross and Mona breaking up, Rachel watching a birthing video and Joey finally confessing to Ross of his crush on Rachel.
Bourbon is an American form of whiskey made from at least 51% corn, or maize, with the remainder being wheat and/or rye, and malted barley. It is distilled to no more than 160 proof, and aged in new charred white oak barrels for at least two years - or perhaps longer. The two years maturation process is not actually a legal requirement for a whiskey to be called "bourbon" but it is a legal requirement to be called "straight bourbon".
10. In the season 5 episode "TOW the Yeti" Rachel and Monica come face to face with a frightening looking man who resembles a yeti. This 'yeti' is named Danny and played by George Newbern, who is also the voice of Clark Kent/Superman in the television show "Justice League". True or False: "Justice League" is a cartoon.

Answer: True

This should have been easy! I gave you all the answer by saying that he was THE VOICE of Superman. "Justice League" is a children's action/adventure cartoon television show. The show involves a team of classic superheroes who form the Justice League, fighting bad guys and classic super-villains. Superheroes in the show include Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, Martian Man-Hunter, Wonder Woman, Hawkgirl and The Flash.

The villains that they fight against are classic super-villains like The Joker from the Batman movies.
